Again, I'm not trying to be rude. And I'm glad to hear you are leaning more toward the safer side. It's just that when you run a mech, it is imperative to know what you are doing. It only takes one draw on something like a 0.05 build to change a person's life forever. Especially on something that is auto-firing. The nonchalant attitudes that people go into something as serious as a mech is exactly what hurts people, and shines a negative light on the entire industry. Mechs require a lot more responsibility on their owners part, and should not be taken lightly. I apologize if I come off harsh, it just worries me thinking something like this First vape related death could happen to someone else, very easily with a super low build like you were using.
no hard feelings bro, i dont even put batteries near the mod. at least until i can swap out the mosfet for a good one. hoping that should fix my issue and i can use the mod :D

The reason for such concern Owen is that you came to this thread asking about build types, so clearly you don’t know about how to do that, you demonstrated that you didn’t know about ohms law, battery safety, you found wire in your mod (damn!), you thought an autofire was due to a low build, and you called it a mech when it wasn’t. To top it off, when you were given advice to read up on a few bits earlier in the thread you then said that you knew what you were doing. And, in addition to all this, once you identified it to have a mosphet, you continued to try to use it despite it clearly having a lot of safety issues.

Please don’t get a true mech just yet and get that mod checked out properly before any more use.

and you called it a mech when it wasn’t.
I think we should partially excuse that mistake on the OP's part because the manufacturer of the mod in question also calls it "A MECHANICAL BOX THAT IS MOSFET PROTECTED".

This is of course a contradiction in terms, it not just once, but twice. A mod that uses a MOSFET to control the flow of current is not a "mechanical", and a simple MOSFET switch offers no "protection" at all.

You have been given great safety advise and need to listen to it.
I pulled these last 2 to quote as they are a good summary.

Take Heed !!!
