Good work on the Dark Reader plugin RD. I tried it and it makes the screen look almost exactly the same as the Deluminate one I found with the low contrast setting enabled. There are a few differences tough as the dark reader one doesn't darken the box you type in when posting but the deluminate one does. It also doesnt tint the emoji like deluminate does but it has tinted several of the pics people posted.
Looks like it is also an acceptable work around untill they get the themes figured out :)

I use DR in "light" mode ( not a fan of black backgrounds either )... the controls then act just like the brightness, contrast, and saturation ( they call grayscale )... plus the added sepia function. In that mode... they act on all pics in the browser window so it still isn't perfect either. I ended up just dropping the brightness some and increased the contrast... then zero'd out the grayscale and sepia. Basically I just needed to dim it down and still be able to read the text... on websites that I didn't want it to make changes, I added to their exceptions list.

Mile Hi City
Rd,
I wanted to thank you for suggesting the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Freeware. I was cleaning up hubbys laptop and started getting a server proxy error, did a little research, it wouldn't let me change the setting in Chrome or IE. So I tried Malwarebytes and it found 166 items. Well long story short I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it and now it seems to work fine. Thanks again I installed it on both the laptops.

^^^^^ +1 Here Redsok! ^^^^^

Thanks Maxie...

I think I forgot to mention an update I got about him later on... It turns out the first ( stupid ) doctor's prognosis was incorrect and it isn't liver failing ( although it's not in good order either, but that's an ongoing issue )... it is a very very bad case of pneumonia which still has him on "high alert status" but at least there is a better chance of surviving than the liver issues have.

So now.. in the last couple of weeks I've had two friends go to the ER and both were misdiagnosed by their initial exam doctors basing their diagnosis off of their own preconceived notions instead of actual tests... :nah:

The first one almost bought the $1000+ worth of equipment and medicine ( nebulizer etc ) before being told they didn't think it was COPD after all ( which we, as novices, had been saying and telling them all along ).
