Pass-through users, opinions welcome

Hey to all the users of a pass-through. I'd like to get your opinions, especially if you have used both types from V4L. I currently have a manual one, but have always been a fan of auto style batteries. (It was a gift)

My question is, do they both work equally well or does one work better than the other? I'm only curious about vapor production. Thanks!!!

I agree. I use the auto almost exclusively, it's just a tad easier, especially when I'm driving. I don't want to think any more than I already am when I'm driving.

Not a fan of my manual. It is hit or miss as to when the button will work. My husbands auto is much nicer IMO.

I prefer the manual because the auto tends to run too hot and negatively impacts the flavor.

I have both from V4L. Both seem similar in vapor production, flavor, and draw. I am more of a manual guy as I like to have total control over the heating. I like to create a little vapor before I start to drag. I can do this with a primer puff but i'd rather just push the button. I also worry that one leaky cart can ruin an auto if I am not careful. My Auto has been relegated to "Backup" status. All in all though it works fine and is just more a preference thing for me.

I like the manual myself. The Button pushing when I am driving doesn't bother me anymore. I have to hold it anyway!

I use the auto's at home and While I like them, I do think they burn a bit hotter. Not a problem at home but I don't want distractions in the car.

Thanks for all the answers, I do appreciate your opinions. I would have never thought an auto would heat the carto up faster than a manual. Must be true though as several of you have experienced it. I wonder why that is. But it's good to know they produce similar amounts of vapor.

i have the manual PT.....

works wonders, and in fact.... im usin it right now with a nice coffee 36...


(i just like the manuals better for some reason, i have 6 batts.... and only one is auto..... it doesnt get much use)

I have both and I prefer the auto, as I need two free hands while gaming. I havn't noticed any heat or vapor production difference. I will say that my auto PT seems to have a lighter draw than my auto batts.

I use both the auto and manual PTs. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. If I'm spacing out in front of my computer or playing games, I prefer the auto for handsfree use. The manual is nice for making bigger clouds, since you can warm it up a bit before inhaling.
