I don't know who to credit with this idea I read on this forum, or why it took me so long to try it, but I just revived 2 dead Pass Throughs and three dead batteries. By dead I mean the battery took a charge but the trigger mechanism didn't function, auto and manual. Probably non-working would be a better word, the battery was really dead. But I'm really happy to have these batts and PT's working again!! I assume some juice made the trigger stick, idk. But the suggestion was, as a last resort, to soak the batt in alcohol for 15 minutes just past the V4L imprint.

I did that, taryn spinned the batts and used canned air to dry the alcohol. I let them set over night, not expecting it to work. Well they work like new! They were all over 3 months old and setting by the trash can, I thought I'd try this before tossing them out. Glad I did.

Maxwell sir it works for a bit, but may not be permanent. It's how I revived one of my originals for a few days...

Yes, one of them already quit working. I hope the PT's last longer. The batt holds a strong charge, I wonder why I can't unstick the trigger? Well, UPDATE: Saved 1 out of 3 batts and 2 PT's working for now.

If I blow in the LED end it will work for a couple puffs. There must be a permanent fix. Hopefully the others will last a while longer, if not I got my money's worth. I'll just buy some more during this awesome sale.

I know on kr808 batts from premium e you can or atleast i did take the led cover off and gently pry the pcb up carefully and eventually slide the guts out and clean the o ring and sensor that makes its an auto, note it is very hard to do, but i have done it. wished i took pics now, for the record out of 3 batts that are now a month old only one works and thats the one i cleaned, the others i think just died from over use

you can soak the battery hole (not the LED side) in alcohol and not damage the battery? like no water damage?

Well alcohol, unlike water, evaporates pretty well. I did taryn spin and use a can of air to spray them out and let them hang upside down over night. Like K9 said, up to the logo. I would not use water tho.

So K9 is the one to thank for this info. Thanks K9!! ;) I finally tried it.
