Pass Thru Question

Hello,

I bought the ultimate kit back in April 2010 and was wondering how long a manual pass thru should last. For about the last month, it only seems too be working off and on.

Also, was looking at the WoWboy carts, how are they different than the premiums that I now get.

When you say 'on and off', do you mean that when you push the button, nothing happens intermittently?

Are you using the PT on a PC?

I've been through two pass throughs since april and contemplating going for a third. The first one was very finicky where it would only work randomly. the second one lasted a month or so then went the route of the first one. they're both dead now.

Wowboy is really good, but i had to cut back as my juice was getting low

I have a manual passthru (@home) and an auto passthru (@work), PC-connected, and both work fine but are fairly new. They are really just routing 5V from the PC so unless you drip into the sensor on the auto I don't see why they shouldn't last for years. The cords seem a little weird/funky though and I have some concern about them...

If so, maybe there's an issue with the circuit/chip.

Just tried my Manual PT, 10 sec cut off. BUT simply release the button momentarily and repress it anf the timer restarts!!

Yes, when I push the button nothing happens, then will wait and it might work or it might cut off. I have it hooked to my desktop pc.

sometimes the PT draws more than the usb port can handle and the cpu shuts off the port. try a different port. if that doesnt work call customer service. the warranty is 45 days.
