Passthrough/Cartomizer problem

I just received a 5v 808 passthrough from vapor4life and could not vape using cartomizers. I originally thought the PT was dead, but I get 5.5v. The 808 cartomizers work just fine using an adapter on my 510 PT. It seems like there may be a connection problem between the 808 PT and the cartomizer.

Does anyone have a suggestion or has anyone experienced this issue?

Check the power source. Make sure your USB power supply is rated for 1A at minimum. I just went through this and discovered I was using a .2A USB/wall converter.

Don't hesitate to try several... I tried 3 different sources before I found one I was happy with.

You also might want to gently scrape the internal connection with a small screwdriver or something. I've had some tarnish on a PT that was giving me fits until I realized that's what it was.

Mattco, had the same thing happen... low vape, due to bad connections... greenish-black buildup (like a "patina") on the threads between batty and atty. A Q-tip with Everclear fixed it right up.

Might want to look at Ebay for a USB hub rated @ 2amps if your not getting enough amps it wont work right. They are pretty cheap on there. Plus it is dual purpose you can also use it for what ever USB stuff you have

Thanks for the suggestions so far. My power source is 5v 2000mah. It powers a 5V 510 passthrough just fine and the 808 cartomizers work fine on the 510 PT as well (with an adapter). It is just the combination of the 808 passthrough and the 808 cartomizers that somehow aren't making a connection. I bought 2 of the 808 PTs at the same time and neither work with the cartos. Both the cartos and the PT are from the same vendor.
