Are all passthroughs created equal for the 510..... I think I am going to go with the Joye 510 for my pv and building a list of accessories to get. Are some better than others? Why do some have a battery and some not?

I believe I will be using one alot at the computer/laptop and possibly while driving. Only I don't know If I could get used to the long cord while driving.

off topic: What are the amount of accessories: Atomizers, Cartridges, Cartomizers one should have to add to the kits. I don't want to have to do another order 1 month after I buy everything!

Wow. As far as the PT part goes:

There are 2 types of PTs - a "regular" PT and a direct PT. Now, the term passthrough would lead you to believe it is a direct connection (a direct PT). But that is not always the case (like the "regular" battery attached PTs). So, 2 types:

1) Battery PT - has a battery (of course) and is charged by the usb connection. Often used on computers (I don't personally recommend ever using any PT on a computer, but that's me). The Battery acts as a "buffer" for the electricity and can be used to store a charge and unplug from the computer. Some even recommend unplugging them to use em. Check the instructions. They require less amperage from the USB port. Usually 3.x volts.

2) Direct PT - What I would (IMO) consider a "true" passthrough. Basically a direct connection from the power supply to the atty (not technically correct, but gives the general idea). No battery buffer. Requires a lot of current draw (like 2.0 amps). Best used with a "wall wart" transformer/power supply so you can plug that into a standard wall plug. 5 volts.

Better/worse. Hard to say. There are so many reviews +/-. I had one that only lasted 1 month (but was great while it lasted). I ended up building my own, but that's me. I'll leave the model specific opinion discussions to other posters. I do know that if you want to walk away from your power source, you want a battery. Some use an eGo type of battery, unplug and go. In any event, I recommend the wall-wart connection rather than your computer. Also check here for ideas:

one possible 5.0 volt direct PT:
MadVapes 5 Volt 510 Manual USB Passthrough

2.0 amp for direct 5 volt PTs:
2 amp AC to USB Adapter, ideal for Passthroughs
2 amp Car to USB Adapter

Extender - if needed:
6 Foot USB Extension Cable

There are 3.x volt PTs on that site too, with batteries. You may not need to 2.0 amp charger for those.... check descriptions.

Other questions about quantities and orders. Hmmm....lol. Not sure I should touch that one with a 10 foot pole. But, OK, in for a penny in for a pound.

Atomizers, I'd recommend at least 2 or 3 for each voltage. YOU WANT SOME SPARES. Now, if you're switching between 3.x volt and 5.0 volt, you may wish to have two types of atomizers, maybe even 2 colors so you can tell em apart. 2.5-3.1 ohm atties for the 5.0 volt. The 1.5 ohm LR atties will burn up too fast at 5v. OTOH, some people like LR atties when using batteries. There are some cautions against that (hard on the batteries):

Cartridges - I'd get a couple of boxes (5 per box). They are inexpensive. If you don't know your preference already, try one whistle tip, one round. Usually get blanks and fill em with your own e-juice.

Cartos - depends on your personal usage habits. Get a couple boxes, at least. Depends, vary variable. Some suggest syringes for refilling.

Of course, juice. I average about 2-3 ml per day. You may want a few flavors and strengths. Most people end up having some PG/VG around too.

I don't want to have to do another order 1 month after I buy everything!
Funny. Bet you'll order something.....
