Passthru for Odysseus?

All of us who are fortunate enough to own an Odysseus know that one of its few drawbacks is how it can easily kill a 2000mah 18650 in 1/2 a day. So I was wondering what passthrus people suggest for use with the Ody? I need something that can handle the ridiculously high amperage from a 0.9ohm dual coil atty. at 3.7v and maybe a 6v option if it exists. I've seen a few GG passthrus, but I can't imagine getting my hands on one anytime soon...

rw, the way to make battery last longer is to use 1,5ohm ohm with a 0,13 or 0,12 fat resistance wire

I'll give that a try Imeo, thank you. Any plans to add a new passthru accessory to your line of mods and accessories? I'd be content with another manufacturers device, but I'd probably start smoking reds again before I bought a device from anyone else without giving you potential alternative a shot!

the first e-cig with a passthrough was GG rw. I still have the parts for it. But I stopped production after the first 100 units because I couldnt find a decent wall plug or a USB for it. Now that I can easily find those parts, I have a little more important work to do.

I think I seen a picture once of one a black rubber middle section with a long brass post on each side then a very nice bottom cap with a plug in the center of it. Is that it? If so are they available anywhere? I am good with wireing & have a spare very good digital variable voltage power supply for a tattoo gun ....oh my goodness that would work so well at my desk/computer with the foot pedal then with variable voltage.....im drooling on my keyboards.......

yes, I have those parts jeff. Its a 901 connection and it has male threads. You need a wall plug with female 901 threads

I want to say that I received Para's multimeter with the 3 types of threads (801, 510 and 901). Now I fit my atomizer there and I meassure the resistance without having to put the pins on the center pole and the threads of the atomizer. I just screw the atomizer on the device and I check the ohms. An extremely nice device, very easy to use , it has an on-off button and it works exellent.

A very big thanks to Para that made this device. Brilliant thought from a brillinat person. !!

Imeo, I am happy you got it and happier you find it useful.

I use mine every single day so I thought, with all the checking of resistances you do, it would make the process easier. I hate having to hold onto the probes every time I need to check an atomizer.

Still working on an attachment that measures the R when building a coil. I haven't quite got the design right...yet; but I'm getting there on how I want to do it.

Imeo, I'll still be a hack with a Dremel........

The proof of concept works. Now, I've got to find the best materials and begin tweeking it.

A couple of wraps of the NR wire on the rigid post to anchor it temporarily
Position the R wire against the flexible post

By pulling the R wire, the thin tube bends toward the rigid post shortening the length between the contact points....and the resistance reading decreases. When the reading is what I want, I cut the R wire at the point of contact and the SS tube springs back into position for the next coil.


There's work yet to do (best materials, proper length between posts, proper height of both posts, etc) and this idea might morph into something different before I'm done.
