does the passthru need time to heat up when you plug into laptop etc ? cus i ordered a pt from them and plug in my laptop smoke it no smoke come out, they sent me a replacement and same thing.

Some laptops can't power the PT. Do you have a desktop or a usb wall adaptor?

i plugged it in both laptop and wall usb charger. I didnt know the pt suck this bad, i heard lots of peoples talked about how good the pt is but dang ! what a let down.

I bought one of the new style PTs, the one with the coiled cord. Seems nicely built. But, after a too short period of time it stopped working completely. I have other PTs which I power off USB, wall and car adapters, and a Kensington power pack. So, the power source is not my problem.

i got the new one. It was good for a little while but I hardly use it anymore. The draw on it seems so hard compared to my batts.

Are these auto PTs or Manual PTs?

Generally, we have very few problems with bad PTs, but if yours don't work just contact Val or Born, and we'll get it straightened out.

They're PT manual.I already sent them back and ask for a auto short batty as exchange, i'm not touching the PT anymore.

As far as I can tell no need to warm up.........first and last draw is alway's consistant. If you vape heavy you may need to let it cool a bit. Hope you can get it worked out b/c if you spend much time on puter it's THE BEST I am using on a desk top but seem's to wk as well on my laptop.

Some don't like 5V on the new premium carts but I think the are awesome.

BTW. What cartos are you using?
Are you sure you have 1 amp or more from your power source?

...I guess it's too late now.

V4L should consider selling a 2 amp usb wall outlet for PT use.

i use premium carts, well i tried both my sister/brother laptop also the wall charger still didn't work lol. I even try it on my iphone's usb charge adapter ahhaha and no luck.

The premium carts are a low resistance model aren't they? That means a PT can get pretty close to wanting 2 full amps of current. Even the regular carto on the PT is happier with 1500ma vs just 1A.

I second the need for a decent cheap full 2A power supply.
