Oddly, a search turned up no references...

So, as the title states, has anyone ordered/gotten the Patriot Cartomizers, and what was your impression?

Unfortunately, there really isn't much info on these, or the juice that comes with them. I do know that China-made juice components have been used in MFS' juice, but where are these "Patriot" cartos filled?

At $8.95, these cartomizers would be competetively priced with other vendor's blister packs.

  • Are the cartos "different" in some way, or superior to current/previous cartos?
  • How much juice does the carto hold, and how many refills are you getting out of them?
  • Are these "burn proof" or longer lasting like an independent atomizer?
  • Is the juice DK, homebrew, mixed, or simply dependent on flavor/type?
  • Is the atty coil made of gold? :p

ALSO, has anyone else gotten the message that your log in info was wrong after ordering?

  • Are the cartos "different" in some way, or superior to current/previous cartos? These are about 2mm longer than the V4L Cool carts. So for any of you GG AFS users I don't believe these will work. They measure 2.8ohms on the multimeter. They have the hard cap but no inner silicon ring. The filler material goes completely to the top of the cartomizer minus 1 or 2mm.
  • How much juice does the carto hold, and how many refills are you getting out of them? I haven't refilled them yet so I can't answer this.
  • Are these "burn proof" or longer lasting like an independent atomizer? I've found anything over 4.65volts and it burns your lip.
  • Is the juice DK, homebrew, mixed, or simply dependent on flavor/type? I have DK 555 and the cartomizers I received are prefilled with 555. Doesn't taste the same. To me it taste kind of like Avejuice boba bounty.
  • Is the atty coil made of gold? :p

They vape nice below 4.65volts. Nice Throat hit. Vapor is better than a standard cartomizer but not as good as some of the premiums or turbos on the market.

**Edited for brevity and clarity**

Before making this thread, I ordered 3 of the "Patriot Cartomizers" flavors, RY4, 555, & Menthol. (site page layout has changed, please refer to the pic in the OP)

What I got, was a total of three (3) individually wrapped cartomizers, with 2 of the flavors handwritten in pen on the ends. (RY4 & 555)

THIS --^ was the main purpose of the OP.

I have asked if my order was an error, but have not received a reply. In Chris' defense, I asked him about this when I replied to a PM from him (about "reviewing" them), but haven't emailed or physically called him yet.

**Chris has responded below, and has confirmed what I and a couple others had considered a packing error. I did not actively persue dialog with Chris simply because I was not in a rush, and I was still hoping to hear from others that may have bought the cartos**

Harpo, TY for the feedback! :thumb:
  • Are these "burn proof" or longer lasting like an independent atomizer? I've found anything over 4.65volts and it burns your lip.
By "burn proof", I actually meant the filler not burning as quickly.

  • Is the juice DK, homebrew, mixed, or simply dependent on flavor/type? I have DK 555 and the cartomizers I received are prefilled with 555. Doesn't taste the same. To me it taste kind of like Avejuice boba bounty.
I've only opened the RY4 in case I was asked to return them, and while it IS very good, it doesn't "stand out" from others.
I cannot get these cartos to work (draw) on anything but 808 automatic batteries. Any 808 manual, or 510 with an adapter**, has absolutely NO draw. (Unless you can suck a golfball through a garden hose... :img:)
As for vapor production, the carto itself doesn't seem to be any different from other blanks that I've filled. The 24mg RY4 had average vapor and TH.
Is the atty coil made of gold? :p
Does this "funny" comment make more sense to everyone now?

EDIT: I realized I was using a 510->808 adapter (thick silver one) with no hole. Tried again with the correct adapter (short, copper) with no problem, other than the draw being too airy for my tastes...

I'm going to take my OP a bit further, since I replied to a PM from Chris a few days ago asking questions, but haven't gotten a reply.

Yes, that's one (1) cartomizer, individually wrapped in blueish celophane, for $8.95... (x3, for each flavor, but I did get the "tobacco" discount)
[At this point, you may want to re-read the OP to "see" some of the finer points in how I worded it...]

THIS --^ is the meat of the OP.
THIS is what I can't understand so far.
I don't care if the carto is a "Premium Mega Turbo Carto with Halo juice", filled by [insert deity], I just can't justify the $8.95 pricetag per cartomizer.

I have asked if my order was an error, but have not received a reply. In Chris' defense, I asked him about this when I replied to a PM from him (about "reviewing" them), but haven't emailed or physically called him yet.

fwiw- I was in the Army waaay too long to get bent out of shape easily, and even with a fixed income, I have no intention of crying over this, other than to re-state that the price + picture + product description/verbage = a logical belief that you are purchasing a 5-pack with each order.

STiCaveman...Sorry for the breaK down in communication on this issue. I was in NY when I recieved your post and not sure where we left off. I didn't understand that you only recieved 1 cartomizper per $8.95! This is a new Item added to our database and it was not entered correctly. $8.95 is for a 5-pack. Email me your order # and I will get you either a credit or send out the remaining cartos to you.

Not a breakdown, at least not on your end. You asked me to email you previously, both here, and in a PM. I took a shortcut, and replied to your PM with a wall of text.

I edited my previous post to more clearly point out that while I was  about what I got, I wasn't too worried about the outcome. While I'm sure this thread could become a useful Patriot Carto review thread, I'd be concerned that my earlier sick "humor" would be a deterrent.

fwiw- The RY4 carto that I've opened is a frikkin mule! As i mentioned in the PM reply, I probably wouldn't be a good taste reviewer, but I can honestly tell you that this carto is the longest lasting carto I've ever worked with.
I literally vaped on it 2-3 times an hour, all day yesterday (rotating with other PVs), and only refilled today because I didn't want to burn the filler. I never got a burnt taste, or a drop in vapor production.

To add to harpo's comments, I too noticed a better vape at lower volts.

My only complaint would be that they are "hard top" cartos. Because of my 510 roots, I am more comfortable with being able to easily inspect the filler area of a cart/carto, and I tend to destroy the glued caps when I remove them. :p

Oh, and email will be enroute- fwiw, I would rather have more of these cartos than a refund any day! :D

Chris
I've already got my lawnchair and umbrella set up by the mailbox, and I'm on wi-fi

I just wanted to add one thing. They are hard caps but not glued.
Holy ...!

You are my newest, temporary hero! (for at least the rest of the week) :p

Ya, I bent the dental pick I use to take off caps, so I stopped trying. These cartos just went up a notch in my book. Now if I can only figure out how to get a decent draw from them on a manual 808.
I've tried adding another set of air channels, and I really dont want to buy an 808->808 adapter.

harpo- Today or tomorrow, I'm going to be asking the mods to delete this thread, since it wasn't truly created in the spirit of a fair and honest product evaluation.
Since you have already provided a fairly comprehensive review, I am asking if you would like to "take the lead" in creating a new carto review thread, and I can add my :2c: again like we've done here.

-Charles

p.s.- popped open the Menthol carto Saturday, and was pleasantly suprised at how bold it smelled out of the package, yet so mellow when vaped. Once again, I vaped on that carto (lightly) all day long.

 My first ECF sticky! :p
Guess my earlier rambling wasn't too bad. TY Chris!
(Got the cartos Monday afternoon btw!)

Well, I've been torturing the menthol carto I opened Saturday ever since, and I just can't kill or flood this thing. My biggest gripe with cartos has always been that they would flood, or I'd get "gurgled" to death, after adding only 7-10 drops or half a condom to a "dry" carto.

I have been using an Indulgence @ 3.7v, and 808xl auto batteries. While I get slightly more vapor and TH on the Indulgence, I'm getting a fuller flavor from the 808. That actually says a lot, since I am admittedly "taste challenged."

While I do have a few MFS juices, I don't have any Menthol, and I wanted to continue torturing this carto with a clear juice so I could see the filler more easily if there was any burning. The first refill was with some DK left over from getting a friend set up. Bad choice... Fortunately, I only put a few drops in, and switched to some H4L0 I'd gotten from classifieds. IMHO, it tasted very similar to the juice the carto came with... go figure.

6 refills and a few nic headaches later: It's hard to see in the light soure I had to use, but that filler is still as clear and white as a brand new carto.

Chris can you try to get 510 LR Carto's on your next order.???

Caveman, sounds like a variable voltage Mod would fit nicely in your hand and your tastebuds would thank you since you would be able to dial in the best voltage for each carto or Atty you where using then you would be able to find your sweetspot taste on everything !!!!

I'm actually keeping my eyes on this new acrylic [sp] mod MadVapes is working on, but I have the "variable voltage" already covered in a roundabout way.

I have a 510 PT (4.71v), 808 & Indulgence PTs @ 5.1v, Indulgence @ 3.7, eGo, and regular 808xl batteries all going at the same time... :D Yes, I sit at my desk most of the day.

After 72 hours and many nic rushes, I'm still trying to kill this carto. I've "stepped it up" on how hard/frequently I'm vaping on it, but no luck so far...
