All of the cartomisers that I have used are too light and airy(is that a word?)with the exception of the mega carto's for the eGo.The problem I have with them is refilling them after the first use,How much will it hold this time?will the draw be good or gurgle abunch(have had both happen)Drippin' is good for me ,but I have to use carto's when driving more than 20-30 miles.:vapor:

I am a huge fan of eGo Mega cartomizers, it's my favorite way to vape. Usually when the taste starts to get weird I'll add around 1 ml. of liquid and that seems to be fine as far as no gurgle. Dripping works ok for me with some liquids but in general I like to fill and forget. The flavor of my favorite liquid is best with the Mega Cartos.

Lol. Every once in a while, a post comes out like this.... "Do cartos replace dripping?", "Does anyone use atomizers anymore?", etc. It's a load of hooey. People pushing cartos like they are the end-all of e-cigs. lol.

No way they even come close to replacing dripping, IMO. Good for driving tho, and any other times you can't drip conveniently.

Search for burnt carto pics too.... ROFL. And look up all the "mods" to the newest generation of cartos. PITA. lol. And then there's the filling of some of them.....PITA. I use em while driving sometimes. That's it. It's easier (and better) to just drip e-juice into a standard atty. Better flavor, and they last longer with no burnt fillers.

It seems lately that all i hear anymore is people raving about how amazing cartomizers are and it seems to me that that less and less people are dripping and turning to cartos instead (not that using cartos is a bad thing :D), am i just crazy? O_O or are cartos really replacing dripping??...to me cartos take away from the flavor of the ejuice and most often times leaving me with an taste of polyfill burning but with dripping i seem to get the full flavor of the juice. Have cartos made you want to stop dripping?? and if so what cartos do you like the best?.

sorry if this has been done before :D

You're just not using the best cartomizers. You should try some of the cartos at Ikenvape. They work with the manufacturer to produce the best cartos I've ever used. My current faves are the Drip Style 510s. I'm anxious to try his 510/801 fusion cartos that are similar to his 510 platinum cartos but with an 801 fitting. This guy has really good attys too if you'd rather drip.

I seem to be going backwards. I started with pre-filled cartomizers. Then I started refilling them or getting blanks and filling them. Only the x-power 900s refill more or less consistently, but then the heating element goes after a while. Other cartomizers (including the no-filler reservoir type) refill properly maybe 60 - 70% of the time. Seperate atomizers and cartridges work better, and dripping works best. I never had a drip fail! I keep liquid in my home and my office and my Inferno case has room for a bottle, so for me it's 60% drip, 25% refill cartridges, and 15% cartomizers. I just got blue foam, so that might up my percentage of cartridges at the expense of cartomizers.

I love the 510 Boge cartos. I spent an hour or so last night filling 50 blanks with 12 different flavors. I labeled them and put them in a divided case (look in the scrapbooking section at wally world) and only now does the question occur to me... Do I have to worry about the cartos drying out before I get to use them???

Just keep the rubber caps on the ends and they will be fine.

Not if you put their condoms back on properly - if you did so it is the same as buying pre-filled.

I seem to be one of only 3 ppl one here with the new Ego -t system (I got mine in S.Korea and I think it's not hit the anglosphere yet, but will soon.)

It's my 1st and I'm a newb but apprently it is the same as dripping but with a cart. Cart hold 1.2ml I believe and for me so far, tons of vapor, good strong hits (using Janty 'Oriental' 16mg nic) etc...

Juice does flow quite liberally as the carts have no filler and when you insert them into the cone a needle the width of a matchstick or thinner fits into a hole in the bottom of the cart and that takes the juice straight into the atty.

So I find 1.2ml only lasts a day or so and i only use it in the morning and evenings lol but I am told this might be the new solution to replace both cartos, normal carts and dripping.

i'm a newb though so best folks wait until an experienced user does a review etc... As I have nothing to compare it to

I'm still a noob, just 35 or so days into this.

I only know one thing, ProVape....LR boge cartomizers, that I fill myself.

I seem to be getting everything that I "think" I should get from a PV, vapor, TH, etc.

What exactly am I missing....from dripping??

I may want to try it.

TGran,
you might not be missing anything, but if you have a standard or LR atty, you can put a drip tip in the atty and just drop 3 or 4 drops of your favorite juice directly in the tip and to the atty. It is a great way to get the full flavor of the juice without any polyfill and creates great warm vapor.

Try it out some time, they are pretty cheap too.

Thanks,
Jeff~

ii think my atty might be dying :(...i drip about 2 drops into my 510 atty and first few puffs there is almost no vapor at all, then after like 4 or 5 puffs there is TONS of vapor..seems liek the only thing that will give me lots of vapor at first is dripping only 1 drop...very weird
That is the description of a flooded atomizer.

Something is wrong with your atomizer if you are flooding it with only 2 drops.
Either that or you are adding more drops way too soon.

I started dripping on a joye510 atomizer back in March and never looked back. Since about June I have been using a Saber Touch at 6V and dripping away!! Love it!! As of September I have been making my own juice too! I found a couple recipes I like so I am a happy vapor! I have though about trying cartomizers many times, but just seems like a waste of money when I like dripping so much. Wish I did not have to drip so often, but anything beats an analog!!
