PCC question for the resident geniuses

So in my quest to create a case that would hold the guts of my pcc and a couple assembled shorties, I had an idea. Would a pcc from a 901 work to charge an 808 battery? In my head if it would fit to charge it, then you could keep an assembled shorty a few carts and a charging battery in a convenient case. Anybody have an ideas on if this would work.

i'm not a resident genius--however, i have pried the charger out of my PCC to put in another case, so that's an option if the 901 isn't a good one.

I'm not a resident genius either. But I live in Wisconsin which makes me a "trustable sort".. right?

Anyway... I know that I can use my KR808D-1 PCC to charge my 901 batteries. And although I don't actually have a 901 PCC, I can't think of any logical reason why it won't work the other way around.

How's that?

I tried using a stainless 100mm cigarette case with the guts from my pcc on one side and some foam and a few assembled shorts on the other. Failure! I didn't even notice that the pcc was tall enough to need both halves of the case. So If anyone knows of a case roughly that size but a little deeper.................

Well now I found dimensions for a 901 pcc that's shaped like a cigarette pack. Way too short to hold an assembled shorty. So back to my original idea of gutting a pcc. Belletrist, what type of case did you end up using?

i used to trust scottbee--till he said he wasn't a resident genius. that being an outright lie, i may have to alter my opinion.

well, i used another case that wasn't any larger, just purtier, lol. i wasn't too intent on carrying around assembled batteries, though i'm thinking of getting another that will be long enough for XLs and re-gutting the thing.

i'd try looking in a tobacco shop--or a shop that sells really fancy pens, etc. you might also try (sorry, dude) looking at cosmetic cases. an assembled shorty about the same length as a regular cig, and not longer than most pens... or makeup brushes.
