Pear flavored e-liquid?

Does anyone sell a decent Pear-flavored e-liquid?

I bought a small amount in that flavor (18mg, 20ml bottle) not long after I started using e-cigs, a few months back. It was excellent -- sweet but without being sickeningly sweet. It really tasted like a pear. Really good stuff. (I believe it was made by Dekang but I'm not sure -- and unfortunately I can't remember from which e-cig vendor I bought it.)

The next batch of pear flavored e-liquid I bought (same strength, but a 10ml bottle) was apparently from some different manufacturer -- the style of bottle and labelling are different. It was really awful -- medicinal-tasting and with a bad smell. You wouldn't want that stuff if I were giving it away.

Now my original bottle is running low -- and I'm going to miss it when it's gone. I'd love to find some more if any vendors have decent batches of that flavor. If they do I'd be much obliged to find out about 'em. Thanks in advance...

Drew at Nhaler has a new 'lung juice' range which has herbs and stuff in it, one of the flavours is pear. I would have thought that pear drop-flavoured juice was very easy to make as the flavouring is very very simple.

I just got my order of Lung Renewal Juice for Nhaler yesterday and tried the pear first. It's yummy. I don't know if he has pear flavor in his other juices but you can check out his site Nhaler

I have a low-res and poor quality shot I found on the web of those bottles -- but it gives an idea of what the labels are. The vendor who sold them to me remembered my order and said they are definitely Dekang. (The 10ml bottle I got in a later order from them, in a sampler pack, might also be Dekang but that batch was gross! The 20ml bottle was good.)

If you got the first bottle in June (looks like it from the scroll on the labels) and the later bottle in July or August (where they started putting expiration dates and other 'safety' info), then it confirms by 'theory' that something changed in almost all of dekang juice from that time period. My idea was that they overdid the tobacco base but I doubt if the pear had any tobacco base but maybe. I don't think it was something rancid or bad, but something definitely changed. My wife's favorite's (and I like them as well) Hilton and Ruyan#4 were great in June and harsh in July and August. The last batch was better but still not the same as in June. Others have mentioned this as well. Some of it was 'perfumey' and others were just harsh tobacco flavors. I wish they'd return to their June formulas or handling.....

On the Nhaler note... I don't like pears. I like Drew's pear lung juice. I'm thinking I don't like the actual pear grainy texture but the flavor is good in the lung juice. You might get a sampler first - 6ml.

The first batch of watermelon I got from them -- also in June -- was really good. Same thing: good sweet flavor without being overly sweet. I noticed that the most recently arrived batch doesn't have nearly the flavor. At least it isn't medicinal-tasting. Dear Dekang: get a clue! If it ain't broke, there's absolutely no reason to 'fix' it!)

So true. Maybe some others were complaining about the June juice ;-) But, I'll also say that the latest order I got (and have one on the way - because I did mention this all to Wayne at heaven gifts and he was of course interested in the comments) anyway, the last order was better, much better, but not to the really good stuff in June. I'll report on the next order which shipped on Monday. I'm getting the same flavors and like you, I have some left with which to compare. I'm thinking they may have solved the problem... but we'll see.

I'll be interested to hear your comments about that. As the level in this "June-quality" bottle drops ever lower, I feel sorrier and sorrier for myself. They also had some mango flavor that I got at the time -- also very good...

Switching gears slightly: for some reason I thought I liked '555'. Well, I don't. And for some reason, during the time I thought I liked it I ordered a bunch of it -- and it's just going to sit unopened on a shelf here (unless the most recent batch is a bit less sweet -- guess I should open one bottle and find out). Is there a 'buy/sell' sub-forum here? I should go find that out also. Maybe someone'll want it. Shame to have it go to waste. And I'd like to get a bit of money back for more pear juice...

Thanks for the link. I see there are some reviews of his other e-liquids as well. Guess I have my reading cut out for me again. I could be reading the classics. I should be staying up half the night re-writing the script I'm on the hook to debug. Instead, I dive into threads about e-liquids. No hope for some of us...

Lol... same with my wife. She's been rationing the last of her RY4 and Hilton for over a month now. From a long ago post, I was able to cut that harshness with some butterscotch and caramel on the RY4 which is already part of the makeup and she likes that. The Hilton which has a chocolate note anyhow can be cut with the chocolate that I got as part of the original June batch so that's making the newer stuff vapable but it still isn't the same. I don't know what I'd do to repair pear though ;-)

Ok, I gave that August batch one more try. Ugh. It's just gross. I don't want to know what they put in there. It's bad enough that, for the first time, I'm just going to pour it out, clean the bottle out thoroughly, and use it for something else. I really must write to the vendor about this...

OK... I got my order from Heaven Gifts today. Shortest shipping cycle ever for me shipped Monday, received Friday. Anyway, I still have to get 'validation' from the wife when she gets home from work, but.... the Ruyan#4 and Hilton that I got in this order tastes like the original order with the scrolly labels!

The PRD date on the Ruyan#4 is 21/08/2009, iow Aug.21st. The Hilton is 20/07/2009. And these both are later than the 4 orders I've had in between this one and the original 'scroll labeled' order. And here's more info. I've never tried their 'Concentrated Fragrance' (never hardly mentioned here so is probably not a big seller) is 07/07/2009 and it has a touch of the harshness, strong tobacco flavor as in my last order - which I said was a bit less harsh than the 2 prior orders. It is vapable but I can taste that strongness and this is in 'low nic'.

Checking each of the bottles in the prior two orders, the absolute worst - from eastmall - the earliest PRD date was 27/05/2009 - so I'm guessing the good 'scroll labeled' stuff was sometime before that even though we may have bought in June.

Tentative Conclusion: Dekang made a mistake or change in tobacco flavoring toward a much stronger harsher taste or had a 'bad batch' that started in late May when the new PRD labeling began and lasted until at least July 20th, but was gone by July 20th batch.

So:
- Dekang before @May 27th 'very harsh'
- and after @ July 20th 'harshness gone'.

To be safe, since I don't know enough about production runs of various flavors, see if you can get juice with a PRD date after Aug. 15th.

I have enough samples throughout these periods to verify this to my taste anyway (and the wife's) Chances are people that were looking for a big tobacco hit may have enjoyed these juices during that period but others, Jersey Girl, that I know and others, picked up on the change immediately.

BTW, the disposable cigar is rather good too. It has a pretty good tobacco flavor not like other ecig juice flavors.... and a bit cigar-like - pleasant.

I have the same bottles from Vapor 4 life! Nobacco 20 ml bottles. I got his pear and fell in love with it..but he hasn't had it for ages. I have been getting a good pear from Litecigs. I like it too..maybe a bit stronger.

My order from heaven gifts right before this one was a 'transition' order. The harshness that was in the three orders, two from eastmall before that was unvapable, imo. I tried to, and did to an extent, salvage it by a DIY that added the appropriate flavoring - gobs of butterscotch, caramel, butter and vanilla to the RY4 and chocolate and vanilla (vanilla cuts well ;-) to the Hilton but it was still not the same on the hilton. I don't know where to get the 'smokey' flavor for the Ruyan#4...

Vapor 4 Life seems to have pear in 5 ml bottles, but on the details page, the 'pick your strength' popup menu doesn't contain any selections. I don't know if that means it's 0 mg only, or just out of stock.

It would be interesting to know how many different e-liquid manufacturers there are (I hear there aren't many), and where the various e-cig vendors get their juices.

I first heard about Nhaler in this thread -- I did order a small amount of the pear-flavored "lung juice".
That site's mix of flavors, strengths, sizes, bottles, etc., is kind of confusing. Hope I ordered the right thing.
