Penstyle Bad Gas Mileage

So I've been smoking my Penstyle from Puresmoker for over a week now, what a beast! Little work for lots of vapor, I love it.

Anyway, the only issues I've been having is that I go through juice like crazy with this thing. But most important is that I have to constantly re drip on the cart after only about 6-8 drags. There is plenty of juice in the cart, but it just doesn't seem to come out. I've cleaned the cart, filled it with a ton of juice, but it's like it only sucks from the very end, the juice at the bottom of the cart never seems to come out.

Also I can only add about 3 drips to the cart and it's full, then about 6-8 puffs later, vapor drop. (once it's already had it's initial fill, if that makes sense)

Anyone else had this issue?

i have a penstyle which gave me the same trouble my suggestion smoke it on a downslope make the batt end go lower then the mouth peice

Yep, welcome to heavy vaping land. I think you might find that if you put it down for a few minutes when it slows down, that it will magically act like it's full again. Maybe it's the heat that slows the uptake from the wool, I dunno.

It's not a solution, but yes, I experience the same thing. I've been experimenting with alternative cart material, but haven't found anything groundbreaking yet.

I think its a issue with all carts it just may appear to be more so with a pen style because it has a larger cartridge ... the cart material in all e ciggs just doesnt wick all that well. what i do is just keep a lil 3 ml dropper bottle with me at all times and top off the cart all the time whenever i feel it start to lose its vapor. then when its been a few days i get a new cart and cap off the old cart with the lil plastic piece that came on the new cart... after a while you end up with a few caped off carts that you can take out the wadding and put it in a syringe and squeeze out the juice to reuse. then if you want to be really thrifty take the wadding and put in the sink with warm water for about ten minutes and then let it dry and reinsert/reuse the cartridge again.
i personnaly jsut reuse the juice and chuck it carts are only 5 bucks for a 5 pack and each one topping off can easily last a few days

I just got a 901 on Thursday, and I too am constantly dripping. I've already gone through half my stash of rikee! Anyway, i think it takes some extra priming puffs to reach the juice in the cart when its not freshly topped off. I like to top it off frequently for the fast, thick vape anyway.

I agree that this is a problem with all carts, and probably just more apparent with a penstyle.

However, the power source/strength affects this as well. With my regular or Kissbox penstyles, I experienced the exact same thing - could only get 3 to 4 drops in on a top-off before pooling. But with my penstyle SD, I routinely get 10 to 13 drops in. Still doesn't wick out all of the liquid of course, but it sure makes for a lot more puffs before I have to top-off!

Same thing here so since I have extra batterys, atomizers & carts I just keep 3 pens loaded at all times, with an APC backup...just in case...

Oh thanks, I need them for .. ehh..' work '..sometimes, & works good for games too coincidently enough. Ya can run 3 monitors from 1 video card with a TripleHead2Go.com box, or 2 compatible video cards alone, if your motherboard has an extra slot. Windows Vista supports up to 9 monitors I think.

Nah...the stuff that's in zippo lighters is too absorbent AFAIK.

Wal-Mart. Polyester Fiber Filling. $2.67 for a HUGE wad of the stuff.

I have the same problem with my 901! I couldn't drive with it cause I had to top off every 6-10 puffs! I would avoid the parkway just so I could stop at lights to top off!I was going to get a syringe to see if it helped to fill from the bottom up.. but it was the bottom that always stayed wet so that didn't seem like it would help. I have no time or patience for that... so I now love my 401. It seems the atomizer is closer to the cart and I can actually vape almost all the juice out of it without getting a burnt taste as long as I stop before I dry out the atomizer. Although it holds less liquid.. I can vape MUCH longer without topping off. I got over 100 puffs (though I take small puffs and the last 8 puffs or so tasted a little burnt) on only 8 or 9 drops of liquid (which filled a dry pilot cart). That is why I love it

Treat them like a fountainpen that has temporary ink-shortage... flick them, ledside down (or slap with your hand holding the e-cig on your other hand, not too hard). Only do this if you know your problem is a shortage though; sometimes your cig also might not work well because it has too much liquid on the atomiser, and then this trick will of course only worsen the problem. But for shortage... it works

its normal.. if u want loads of vapour keeping the cart wet or direct dripping is essential..

yep it works great with MSFS flight sim, also RealFlight radio control flight sim, & I still race NASCAR Racing 2003 online, still a couple hundred online racers around.
