I think I've figured out what the weird heaviness is. It's like peppery taste/ feeling. What I'm confused about is all my juices are 12 nic and I don get that feeling with all of them. Is it a brand thing? Has anyone had the peppery taste problem? I feel like I'm becoming obsessed but if I don't digure it out soon I, afraid I'm going to give up any go back to analogs.

I get the peppery taste with mostly bakery flavors. The fruity/menthol don't seem to have this problem. My issue is I can't taste anything so when the bakery types are peppery I think it's more noticeable because I can't really taste anything else. The new bottles I bought are pre steeped. Should I just steep a while longer and try again? :sighs:

The peppery taste probably won't go away. Nic doesn't change. The flavorings will fade some, and the nicotine will be more dominant. Try another vendor that uses less peppery nic. I don't buy pre-made juice. I DIY. My nic is from Vapers Tek. It's the only nic that I truly enjoy with my fruit, dessert types. They also have their own juice line. Just a thought. Good luck, and be ciggie free :)

Jimi brings up a good point. The nicotine base that any given vendor uses can make a huge difference in the "pepper" level. If steeping doesn't help, you might be happier with a different juice vendor.

I had this problem on a vape I had when I started (which wasn't long ago). I got a bottle from a buddy to get me started, he had had it awhile and the Nic content was 36mg nicotine. The flavor was awesome, until the end and it was like licking the inside of a pepper shaker. If you let it sit way too long it will probably get that way, so try not to over steep!

It is definitely the nic. There is more to e-liquid than just "flavor," many natural and artificial flavor compounds, as well as "additives" can change the way certain flavors are perceived. Some will cover the peppery taste of the nicotine, others not so much.In some flavors it seems not to be there at all, even with higher nic levels.

Try a lower nic level perhaps? Maybe try a different topper. The Nautilus and the mini are great with the BVCs but I think they do weird things to certain flavors. Try your juice in an el-cheapo clearo like a smok RBC and see if you notice a difference.
