So glad i found this thread!!

Still donno what exactly it is, but i often get that spicy/hot tingling feeling on the tongue when i vape FSUSA's RY4, not sure if it tastes like jalepeno but certainly something i dont like. i also thought its the nic juice, but if its the nic juice then i will expect all juices to have that after taste/feel but not all of them do.

Ordered dekang ry4 from vaporValley and madvapes based on suggestions in this thread. Will see how they compare!!

have been ordering ry4 from different places, hopefully one of these is the flavor i am looking for... crossing my fingers xxxxx

Unfortunately the ry4s i got from madvapes and vaporValley are not the flavor i was looking for. They maybe good for someone else, just not me :(

I've tasted the jalapeno pepper flavor in other juices - but I love FSUSA RY4, RY5 and Wyatt Earp. I have never gotten the pepper flavor from them. On the other hand, I ordered 4 bottles of tobacco flavored e-juice from BWB - and they all taste like cheap perfume to me. I may be the only person on the planet that doesn't like BWB juice. I've let it steep for 3 months and I still can't stand the smell of any of them - much less vape it. Anybody else get the heavy fake perfumish - chemical flavor and smell from BWB tobacco juices? I tried Honey flue nut, applewood, 555 and something else I've forgotten. I just knew BWB would be my perfect juice - but I would rather not vape at all than smoke it.

Here's my theory and I am sticking to it (at least until it becomes clear that I am wrong).

Tobacco juices are typically a blend of various flavorings concocted by the vendor. There is a specific flavoring (perhaps even more than one) that some vendors use in one or more of their tobacco blends that, for some people tastes like jalapeno peppers, which is to say the flavoring of the pepper flesh itself, not the spiciness of it. This sort of thing is actually not at all uncommon in the food world.

Wyatt Earp has a substantial amount of that particular flavoring in it and it sounds like, judging from comments above, several other FSUSA tobacco juices have it as well.

BWB's Casablanca also has some of this flavor in it as well, although it is only one small part of a substantial blend so I do still more or less like Casablanca where I do not like Wyatt Earp.

I discovered today that KBV's Crossfire Trail also has this flavoring to it, and a fairly substantial amount of it at that. Their Uncle Nutty and Special K tobacco flavors do not have it, thankfully for me.

I just tried an experiment. I just got to my first break in 4 hours and noticed the same spicy kick everyone is talking about here. I stopped vaping and took several large gulps of water to rinse my mouth out, then vaped again....the spicy flavor was much less obvious. Perhaps it's not so much the flavor of the juice as it is about what state your mouth is in? I know I get dry mouth every day before this break.

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to add to this post because I too had this problem with all the juices I bought from FSUSA, but I have some good news for some. :)

Ok below are the juices I have, note that I am new to vaping and FSUSA’s juices are the only ones I have tried so far.

RY4 30mg
RY5 30mg
Coconut 24mg
Coffee 30mg & 24mg

Now I would get this really bad spicy harsh feeling when I would exhale, it was really really bad for me and I was drinking a lot of water at all time as I did that anyway before vaping, I always would drink when smoking as I would tend to get harsh exhale from real cigs after about the 4th drag without drinking.

I have the EGO-T system and also the EGO system using the drip tip, both these systems would give me that nasty feeling when I exhale.

After reading this thread and others and even talking to FSUSA about it I decided to give the steeping a go, I am ecstatic to report this worked 100% for me, as of this morning the spicy harsh exhale is totally gone.

What I did was steep all the bottles for around 4-days so far, but I made sure to shake the crap out of the bottles each day, not sure if the oxygen going into the liquid each day when I shook it made a difference, but I can happily say that all the liquids I did this with no longer have that spicy harsh taste on exhale.

I am over the moon about this because FSUSA has some of the best quality juice and I am in AU and not many places will ship here and have their level of service. Also I didn't want to risk buying from somewhere that may or may not add other stuff to their liquids and felt really safe with FSUSA's liquids.

I don't know if this will work for everyone else, but just wanted to post up how I got that taste to go away in the hope it may help other people with the same problem. I do have a feeling shaking the crap out of the bottles has helped as well, so if you are going to try this make sure to give the bottle a good shake at least once a day while it steeps.

Oh, also all these bottles are 10ml, not sure if this makes the steeping process quicker, I do have a 30ml bottle of RY4 I am in the process of steeping and if it takes longer or I get a different reaction on this I will post up.

But as of right now I am a very very happy vaper that does not get razor blades in my throat on exhale. Lol

Add BWB's Virginia to the list of peppery juices. His Backo (formerly "Maxboro") is pepper-free for me, however.

You could be tasting the nicotine somewhat, I've tried vaping unflavored nic juice (Mikey liked it!:))
and found it has a slight spicy, black pepper flavor.

Agree. And I often vape unflavored too.

I am thinking of looking into a nicotine mimicking liquid using black-pepper or similar flavoring as it might help ease the transition to lower or no-nictine. Not for myself, but it would interest some people. For myself, I'd like to increase that peppery taste ;)

... thinking of trying a drop of filtered tabasco ...

I recently got a bottle of Casablanca from BWB, whose juices I usually love, but this stuff was very peppery to me. So yeah, I taste it too, and it reminded me exactly of jalapeno. I did get a pretty good DK 555 from ECBlend and BWB RY4 is fantastic IMO. No pepper taste at all, but a certain bite that is reminscent of analogs. Hard to get, though.

Uuuuhhh... any chance you still have any of that juice?

Interesting thread. I'd definitely say there's something added to the FSUSA juices. Across the board as far as I can tell. I picked up about 10 juices from them and both my gf and I were unable to take a full draw without coughing on any of them. As this was our 1st vendor I was a bit worried that vaping wasn't for us. I just got in 5 flavors from MadVapes today and it's like night and day. We're both able to vape now! I'm disappointed we didn't react well to FSUSA's juices, they had such great customer service I really wanted to support them.

Thread I made on my experience.
