I just added this little gem to the DZ coil jig. No twisting wire, no pinching the wire between your fingers. Just cut a piece, tie one end to the DZ jig and the other to the wire twister.

Put the wire here and synch it down:

I bought one of these and ground the handle off so it doesn't get it the way while you're wrapping the coil:
WIRE TWISTER BY COLOURCRAFT
or
Amazon.com: Beadalon 5 Hole Wire Twister, 2-Piece: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Talk about a tight straight coil. :)

Sounds very interesting, but I'm lost as to how it works. A video maybe?

Tough crowd forcing me to do my first video clip. :)

Here's a pic if that doesn't come through.

So basically you have a tube with a shaft run through it that has a screw and 2 washers threaded and tapped on the end of it. You hold the tube and the shaft with the wire attached to the end of it spins inside the tube as you wrap the wire.

Let me know if the video works. Its my first.

Perfect, so the wire does not coil up on the wire twister as well, which has been the case on the sharp nosed pliers I have been using. Just what I was looking for. Thank you so much for the video, much appreciated.
