After going to dotmod.com, in Genoa.
Going thru the articals, etc , of sale & rules of the Europeon Union, The General Areement concerning retail sales.
This is hardly a 'sleezy' concern.
Every product is guaranteed for 2 years from date of purchase.
The Bad News,, atomizers, regenerable atomizers, & cartomizers are Non returmable.

The U.S. retailers have their hands tied.

Should the U.S. retailer take the hit? The customer? Should it be split? You make the call..

If they offer a guarantee for 2 years, that means they should repair or replace the item. You can make something non-returnable, but it should still be covered under warranty. Can't get your money back, but you should get a working atty back.

I don't own the Company.
I JUST researched Dotmod.
Due diligence implies not injecting my own thoughts or emotions..

My answer was for the OP. Based on your research, the OP should get better service addressing the issue. What's the point of a 2 year guarantee they won't honor?

Fair enough.
Before last nite, i thought Dotmod made a few atomizers. I have one. Still working on a decent build.
Actually, they manufacture a vast array of Vape gear. Of which most is returnable.
Their "Conditions of Sale" prohibit the return of atomizers. Is that an other worldly demand? No.
Is it Fair? No.
The prohibition of atomizers is Explicitly stated in the conditions stated above.

The Rub is that American retailer may not have relayed this info to customer before sale. That i don't know.

I personally sympathize with OP, as i stated at the beginning of this thread..

Which I also wouldn't recommend. I've had one for a few months and I've already stripped 3 of the extra grub screws
Besides the screws, what do you think of it?
Mighty flavor atty or not?
Length of legs after trimmed?

Forgive the questions, but I've yet to get a good build out of it, .4 to .9 resistance SS coils..

If you get yourself a torx driver...that looks like 3mm, you can take it apart and fish the post screw out.

Everyone should have one of these sets...makes life a little less complicated. :) I got mine on sale even...it was like $5 US shipped.

31 in 1 Screwdriver Set Phillips Torx Star Slotted Hex Key Bit
bah i'm not going to bother getting my own... i'll just go to the garage and steal the mechanic hubby's set!

dotmod should be replacing either the base w/posts or asking egg to send in the stripped one and they send him a new one, postage paid on their part,,, unless of course they saw signs of serious abuse(i don't see any in the pic). besides rules are different again when it's canada/US/euro etc... there's got to be something... %50 of nothing is nothing *sigh*. what about contacting who you got it from, was it a canuck store? dotmod themselves? china?

First build I ever put in it was 8 ply 0.3 staple coil. Hated it. Threw that out and put in a 6 wrap 28g alien, which was fantastic. Yes, great flavor like all dotmod products, wicking is a ..... until you get a feel for how much you need. Legs are easy enough to figure out. Unlike other bottom air fed RTA's you don't want to put the coil completely over the air hole, more like half covering, not much room otherwise. It's a huge pain to take apart and put back together, even requiring the 510 pin to be removed to get access to the deck. Tank size is incredibly small, I vape through a full tank in like 30 mins. The top full is nice but the juice slots are very small, often causing juice to sit there and spill over the side. If you manage a clean fill, when you screw the top back on, every time you will have to wipe it clean because it presses a small amount of juice out. I know my overview sounds bleak but I still enjoy it, just had some quirks to get used to.
