I got that a the beginning when trying to drag an ecig like an analog. Make him drag slowly into the mouth for about 5 seconds AND THEN inhale it to the lungs.

When dragging fast and straight to the throat (like you would with an analog) you could get that burning feeling.

Any chance you are using a 510? 510s usually have a stronger throat hit than 808s. Try an 808 (if possible) and see if your husband likes it better.

I'm assuming your referring to the throat hit. Lots of people love this part of vaping, I don't put as much emphasis on it compared to vapor production. I think I too am more sensitive to it than others so I like about 60VG to tone it down a bit. This irritation also goes up with nicotine concentrate. If you think its an actual allergic reaction then by all means stop vaping it.

No, it is a sign that the nicotine is burning the back of his throat. 100% PG often lets through too much of nicotine's irritation. PG lets through the most flavor, most nicotine TH, most nicotine irritation (nicotine is a skin irritant). VG dulls everything PG lets through but adds thicker visible vapor. 100% VG is also very thick and does not work well with many methods of vaping. I recommend blends. For stuffing cartos try 20% VG, for reservoir cartos or tanks try 20-30%, for plain atomizer try 20-50% VG. Most real juice vendors offer PG/VG blends.

Then if it still burns, he could consider dropping his nicotine level 1 step and just take a few extra drags if needed to make up the difference.

Once all of the cigarette chemicals are out of your body, the one that makes nicotine more addictive is gone. At that point I think the biggest goal feeling the TH of the drag (and nicotine IS TH), inhaling, exhaling, the flavor and aroma. The goal is for that to be strong enough to please and satisfy but not so strong that it is uncomfortable or causes irritation. If it is comfortable for him to drag, he will get the nicotine he needs.

My husband is vaping PG based eliquid. He says that it burns the back of his throat. Is this a sign that he is allergic or sensitive to PG? Thinking about switching him to VG anyway just in case. I just want to know if it's a sign of allergy or something else. Any other suggestions on what to do are welcome! Thanks everyone!

All PG juice, which I do like because my cartos last forever using it, are not the same. If he wants all PG based juice, try a few vendors. I get my PG juice from nhalers and it's excellent. Smooth, not too thin.

I am sure I am sensitive to PG, I can not stand the smell or taste of it, the smell from the bottle or the vapor. I taste nothing other than an awful chemical taste from it. Even some juice that claims it's 100% VG isn't and some of the suppliers admit to it on the FAQ's on the webpage.

I am not trying to scare anyone away from trying PG based juices, but some of you might find out you don't like them. Order sample packs or small bottles first.

I haven't smoked since Aug 23 of this year, I did try 3 times since then and only got one lit before dumping it

A lot of people here love the PG and PG/VG blends, so your mileage may vary

If you want all VG, cignot has the Ecopure line that's supposed to be very good juice.

Virgin Vapor is another vendor who offers 100% VG juices that are honestly 100% VG. I can only vape VG and her juices are all I vape any more.

As someone already said, not all PG juices are equally high in throat hit. I have some 100% PG RY4 juice that makes me cough. It tastes great, but the throat hit is killer! I mix a few drops of it in a cartomizer with something that has a little less kick.

Try some difference mixes. Most people end up liking 70pg/30vg and others like 50/50. As you move away from 100%pg to 100%vg, you get less taste but more throat hit. There's a spot at which people finally settle down.
