PG is supposed to be barely sweet, isn't it?

Almost everywhere I've read about PG, it says it's barely sweet, and only two places I've read it's sweeter than VG.

The PGs I have (from Inawera) are the sweetest things I've ever tasted, and I don't like it at all. The vapour is verrrry sweet and the liquid in itself is extremely sweet. I even get that unpleasant aftertaste that I get from eating sugary things. Maybe I'll get cavities in my teeth from it too, hehe... Is all PG like this?

(I'm mixing 100% PG since I can't handle VG at all. Even VG in flavours doesn't work, it seems. OK, I don't KNOW that the flavours I have are VG, I just assume so since when I vape PG with no flavour I'm OK, and when I vape PG with flavour my throat gets covered in a film.)

Thanks for replying anyway :) So yours are actually neutral. Then I have hope again! What brands are they?

Mine are Pretty Much neutral.

I don't think I would call it Sweet by any Means. But it really isn't Bitter either. The Last Bottle I got came from Wizard Labs. I have also used PG from RTS Vapes and it was the Same.

Like I said. I like Higher VG e-Liquids. So I buy 100% PG Nicotine Base and then Dilute it with VG.

JTBC - When I said that the "Taste" of Pure PG is Neutral, I was referring to the Taste of a Hit of Pure PG. Not the Taste of the Actually Liquid if you put a Drop on your Tongue.

If I put Liquid PG on my Tongue, Mine has a Slightly Bitter Taste. With just a Hint of a Chemical Aftertaste. But the Aftertaste could be a Mental thing.

It just went up about $5 but I have been very pleased with the pg and vg from Essential Depot. I find if more economical to purchase it in a larger quantity. http://www.essentialdepot.com/servlet/the-Propylene-Glycol/Categories I prefer 50/50 in my juice because I feel like it is the best of both worlds and I have only noticed "sweetness" when experimenting with a higher vg percentage. Have fun and happy mixing. :)

Thanks for the input!
I'm in Norway, and selling liquids with nicotine is prohibited here + I'm only allowed to buy from EU countries, so I can't try the brands you mentioned...
It would be strange if the Inawera ones taste different than others, though, since they have the same chemical formula (C3H8O2).
It's not the flavours I use - I've tried vaping pure PG and it's nauseatingly sweet.
I've also tried vaping liquids that haven't steeped at all, and at first they are not sweet, but the next day it's the same; sweetness with flavour added. Even the one described as "ashtray" flavour tastes and smells of honey!

I guess I should ask the Inawera enthusiasts about this.

My hope is that maybe the Hangsen PG is not sweet since I have tried a couple of readymades that aren't sweet at all.

If not, I'll just give up vaping. I just don't like sugar very much...

yes, that's what I read everywhere, except this:
"Propylene glycol, by comparison, is very thin, but even sweeter than VG. PG is known to produce a great throat hit, and that is why some people favor it in their smokeless cigarettes." at PG vs. VG-based E-Liquid Mixtures - Perfecting Throat Hit, Consistency, and Vapor Production

I hope it's just the Inawera PG that is sweet... Probably not. Something wrong must have happened with my tastebuds... I don't know what to do next

I Wouldn't agree with the Statement of PG being Sweeter than VG.

But my Only Reference is the 6 or 7 Different Sources of PG that I have Tasted over the Years.

Are you sure it's strait PG and not the base which they premix with VG, EM and water?

Indeed I am. The description is: 99% Propylene glycol 1.2, 0% Vegetable glycerin, 0% demineralized water, 0% Aromatic compounds, 12mg/ml nicotine. Chem formula: C3H8O2
The same description as for other vendors' PG, so there's no reason it should be sweet.

Maybe it's just me.
