PG or VG for nic base

I notice that nic can be ordered in either a PG or VG base. Are there advantages to one over the other? What do most people buy?

If you want higher VG juice mix, choose the VG nic base. Since most flavorings are PG-based, if you want a high VG juice, you need to have VG nic base to keep the ratios up. That's my experience with the juice calculators.

I buy it in PG and then cut with VG to mix to a 50/50 base .Its easier for me to pour the PG based nic into the VG than vice versa.To each his own though

Yes. Unless you need/want 100% VG, the PG is much easier to work with.

I use 2mm hollow silica wick. It handles 100% VG, & still will not flood 100% PG. Some set-ups can't handle such a wide range, and are designed around a 70/30 - 50/50 mix.
With my tank set-up I no longer see the need for PG. It doesn't make much vapor, & I've found the claim that it produces a throat hit to be false! Maybe a VERY SLIGHT heavier than air feeling, but not as much as most flavorings do. PG flows faster so it is said to carry more flavor. I've found this to be false as well due to the MUCH LESS vapor that it produces, in fact? I get less flavor with it, & it only caused me to have to refill my tank more often.
So if it were up to me? NO PG! Also it may cause headaches and some people are sensitive to it and can't use PG at all.
