thx for the info. However get this. Today I went to a downtown Oshawa big brand new Shoppers drug mart. Asked a aisle clerk where to find PG. He directed me to the pharmacist who had to first look it up on the computer because she had never heard of propylene glycol, then ask me what it was for? I at first just said for personal use but she said it was shoppers policy to ask because it is a chemical kept behind their counters used in medicine mixtures. When I said personal vaporizer and electronic cigarette, she declined to sell it to me? I never made mention of adding nicotine or any flavouring? After a 2 or 3 minute discussion, I knew it was a losing battle. Anybody face this situation before? Guessing cause she first had to look it up to see what it was might of made her uneasy??????? My hunt continues

Yeah, for whatever reason, presumably because of Health Canada's moratorium on e-liquid, pharmacies in the know won't sell it if they know that's what it's for. Say it's for hand lotion or soap making and they might be more accomodating.

The VG though you should be able to find in the aisles where they sell other topical treatments like calamine lotion, witch hazel, iodine, etc.

there was a bottle named glyerine?? no vegtable in front? anyone know what this is?

Same thing. As long as it says "Glycerine USP" (the USP part is important, that means it's pharmacopeia grade suitable for human consumption) that's the same stuff. Vegetable glycerin is just another name for it, since it's a natural glycol, whereas PG is synthetic.
