Ok, I have been reading quite a bit and I know that somwhere, there is a thread already done on this but I have yet to find it so...here's the scenario: If you had to chose just ONE, 100% VG or 100% PG, which would it be? I know that most folks mix them but if you could only chose one..? Plz explain why. And if you want, do a little boasting about your favorite juices. :)

Thanks and have a great vape day! -trey

More people have reactions to PG than VG. It also dries a lot of peoples' mouths, including mine. VG does tend to draw out saliva being pretty hygroscopic, but I drink a lot of water all day so it doesn't bother me. VG is also a bit sweet and produces loads more vapor, so I prefer it. I usually do a 70% - 100% VG solution.

I seem to have a reaction to VG (really bad headache/bathroom issues) so I basically have to do all PG. Kind of stinks since the vapor is better with VG, but what can you do?

This is exactly what happens to my husband. It doesn't make me sick, but I can't tolerate the lack of TH with VG. So we both do PG.

I just found vapor renu's website for all those flavors everyone is raving about from another supplier who, when I asked said she "does her own mixture of PG/VG" but wouldn't tell me % and said she wouldn't do 100% PG for a special order.
Vapor renu let me choose my % of each. I ordered Cinnamon roll, pomegranate, kiwi and pistachio in 100% PG. I'm aching to try the pomegranate.

Try to find a vendor who offers sample sizes. Get a small bottle of 100% each of the same flavor, try them out, then you can also mix them to find out if you like a pg/vg mix.

You might want to decide which you want. PG for more TH or VG for more vapor. (Barring any bad reactions to either)

Whichever, remember to drink. Then drink some more (water) Both can dehydrate your mouth and throat. Water is immensely helpful and also helps rinse the toxins from smoking cigarettes out of your system faster.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has issues with VG. I was starting to think I was some sort of oddity, since most of the posts have to do with PG intolerance/allergy. Glad that you both can do the same type of juice because it would be such a hassle (not to mention expense) to have to buy and keep track of both PG and VG.

Forgot to ask, but does he have a sensitivity to artificial sweeteners as well? Just curious as the symptoms I got were the same as what I get from just about any artificial sweetener I've used.

Yes, actually now that you mention it. I never connected the two.
Anything with aspartame gives him a migraine that puts him in bed.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm. How could that possibly be related?

I'm going to have to check around and see if there's anything out there about this kind of thing. Maybe I'll post a thread about it later and see if anyone knows anything or at least see if it happens to others.

They probably aren't related. A small percentage of people are allergic to glycerin, and some people have reactions to certain artificial sweeteners. Though, if you're allergic to glycerin, VG might not be your main problem. Glycerin / glycerol is in a LOT of stuff, you might want to take him to the doctor and see if he's allergic to it.
