100 VG here. Or as close as I can get.
My intro to vaping was with high PG liquids and I was having allergic reactions to it from day one. By day four: nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing and insane itching on my hands and forearms. Stopped vaping anything at that point, did my research, switched to VG liquids (once I got past my fear of starting again) and haven't had a problem since. Also, I discussed this with my allergist and he had no doubt I experienced an allergic reaction. Said allergic reaction to PG used in all sorts of products comes up frequently in the clinic.
Two points:
Allergic or adverse reaction to PG is the exception, not the rule. So don't go freaking out reading posts from people who do experience problems. But noobs do need to be aware of the possibility and in those first days of trying stuff out should purchase liquids in both high PG and high VG just to rule out any question(s) regarding adverse reaction. I'm glad I bought both types of liquids in my first order so I had an in-hand way to figure out what was going on. If you can vape PG or vape VG more power to ya. If ya can't at least you will have a way to figure things out if your first order contained both types of liquids.
There is always the back and forth about what PG to VG ratio provides the best vaping experience and there always will be that discussion. All I know is my experience with high PG liquids was so short lived that if I'm missing anything... I wouldn't even know it. I do know to buy hardware that works better with thicker VG liquids, but that's about the only inconvenience. For me, 100 VG = still not smoking.
