I'm going to try and order a new nic base, this time from mtbaker, my question for those of you with experience, we're looking for something with a good TH, we had 50/50 mix and it's just not what we wanted, pretty weak hit and not easy to flavor.

In my few experiences vg is way harder to flavor, like up in the 20-25% range for flavoring. I stay with a 75 pg 25 vg, plenty of vapor, plenty of flavor. Throat hit is subjective though, And it is going to be contingent on nicotine usually. Higher nic, stronger throat hit(IMO).
You can buy flavor additives to increase throat hit, never tried them though. I get my nicotine in 100%pg, and cut it to what I like.

As billy said keep to mostly PG and you'll get more throat hit.
Higher nic is really the cause of a majority of the throat hit though, so its the easiest way to bump it up.
You can also try adding some PGA as it can give some TH too.

NEXT QUESTION... Where's the best place to buy it in bulk premixed, flavorless... I don't want to mix my own nicotine so I prefer the premix, but the prices vary so much.. looking for some reasonably priced good quality mix.

I stick to 50/50. too high a PG irritates my husband's throat and we love the clouds of vapor from the VG. It is all a personal preference.

Wizard Labs is good, but they may still be having stock issues. They'll make you any ratio.
I've been looking around on there, but shows everything out of stock, and I wasn't able to find the spot where you can actually get it mixed, just each component.

I can't seem to find a place that offers the mix of P/V WITH Nic already mixed in, other than the place we already ordered.. which was ecig.com, not I'm not sure if its the fluid from there 50/50, the clearomizers I ordered or the flavors I ordered from Healthcabin. I'm getting frustrated!! So anyone know where I can buy the large premixed base reasonably priced?? Or anyone used the base from ecig.com and have any luck with it??
Wizard labs, rts vapes, one stop diy shop, look in the forum supplier section. There are lots of places that sell premixed base liquid. When you order to your exact specs, plan on paying more, and waiting longer though. Not only that, but if you get say 50/50, its not 50/50 after you flavor it, also if you order 24 mg base, then ad your flavoring, it wont be 24 mg any more. Not saying you are stupid, just something that people A LOT dont stop to think about until they sit down with a calculator and start to wonder what happened. If you are used to vaping a 24 mg juice in 50/50, and order a 24mg base in 50/50 and add 20% flavoring its no longer 24mg ore 50/50. That is why it is easier just to order everything to mix your own most of the time. Blue Mist will make ANYTHING you want, and do it fast too, if you go there dont forget to get some "crab juice" LOL
Junebug, I'm afraid you chose a busy time to want premixed nic juice. We have some problems right now with the stock of nix juice. Wizard labs used to make it to your %, but now only has it in 100%PG or 100%VG (when they have it in stock) b/c they are swamped with demand. ALL Nic dealers are swamped with demand because of the "WONDERFUL" federal government wanting to stomp the boot on the necks of all vapers. Have you noticed that some of the juice vendors are... swamped? I was wondering why 3 of my friends were begging me to mix them some of my juice. One of them was "on his last day" of vapes and was so happy when it arrived.
Right now is a time of patience for some of us that have a supply and a time of panic buying for those without.
Wizard labs is working as fast as they can. I was happy when they restocked their flavors, I was out of cherry blossom and I have too many mixes that needed a little.
I know this is of little help to you, I'll do a little snooping around and see what I can find.

But remember any flavor you add to the base will dilute the nic!! If not sure use a calculator and add vg/pg

Mt. Baker Vapor will mix to your specifications (%of pg/vg)& stregnth of nicotine. They are very reasonably priced, and fast delivery. Look under their DIY tab.
I too recently ordered from wizard labs and I didn't see any nic juice pre made at 50/50,so I just ordered 100%Pg.Thats O.K it gives me a chance to use up my CVS VG I thought would go to waste,by the way is perfectly good VG and is USP.

Thank you all! I guess with all the warnings on nicotine usage (mixing your own in) it just made me pretty nervous at first, I have young kids, obviously it would be kept away, but im overly cautious when it comes to anything with warning of being so toxic. I know the safety precautions and am thinking about giving it a shot, like the idea of better being able to control what goes in and actually being able to see if for myself.. and being able to do the right calculations.

Never used anything with alcohol as the base. PG is mostly what you will be using to drop nicotine levels down and add flavoring. If you are wanting to do 50/50 I would probably go with a vg base. Thats me though. With kids around safety is always a number 1 for me. I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old. But remember, if they were to eat less than a half tube of toothpaste, it would be toxic. Keep it out of reach, out of site, and out of mind for the kiddos. I get 100mg cut it down to 50mg as soon as it comes in. There is a sticky about DIY safety. Make it your bible. If it seems too overwhelming, wizard and rts both sell very small amounts, good idea to start there anyways. You don't want to buy 250 ml of 100 mg nicotine and all the supplies just to find out it DIY isnt for you. WHile I don't know a ton about DIY, I am more than happy to share everything I have learned in my experiences.
