Hello dear members of ECF ... While I am so sure this is a topic that has been discussed innumerable times in this forum, please help me make some educated choices for my upcoming E-juice purchase.

Now I understand the basic differences between PG (better flavor delivery, TH, and less thick), and VG (better vapor production, very thick) .. my question is, which do the ppl actually prefer to Vape and why?

I presently am vaping PG only ejuice in a 510 mega, and I have an Ego on the way (with more PG ejuice) ... I like PG just fine so far, but I have nothing to compare it to:blush:, so for all I know VG is the bomb and I am missing out:confused: .. and PG/VG obviously is supposed to be the best of both worlds ... but is it really?:?:

Because I realize that this is a topic that has been discussed 1000 times over, if there is a link to an old thread which addresses "MEMBER PERSONAL PREFERENCES", then please copy and paste that link, so I don't have to bore everyone with this

So tell me, what do the People prefer? PG, VG, or Both and why?:vapor: ... Also if anyone knows which works best with an Ego, as well as 510 Cartomizers, please do advise :D

I like some vg because I like a lot of vapor . So I tend to vape a 50/50 mix . But I have several all VG juices I vape that have been thinned down , and I like those as well . So If you like the PG , and have enough vapor to suit you , no reason to change . You aren't missing out on anything . Some people are alergic to PG , and have to vape VG , but if you have no issues with it , then go ahead and vape your brains out . Oh , and welcome to ECF

Thank you so much for the welcome, and the reply ... it is helpful to me :D. My other question would then be, how do you thin out VG?? ..

I DIY as well, and typically mix at 70% PG, 30% VG. Gives me lots of vapor and body without sacrificing any significant amount of TH or flavour. I keep a bottle of premixed 50/50 and then just add flavour and nic to bring it down to about that ratio. If I have a flavour that's weak I'll add a bit more VG and nic to account for the extra flavouring I have to add.

I've used mostly PV. I did get some VG and was discouraged at the thickness of the juice. It takes forever (or centrifugal force) for the VG to soak in. Just my experience...HTH.

Thank you... and yeah I have heard some spk about issues with the thickness of VG. Any idea how the Ego handles VG juices?

I like this idea of keeping a premixed batch and then just adding flavor to it, thanks!

I have an e-go too Nikkita. I like to use 60-90%PG and the rest VG. VG is a big factor of vapor so I do like some VG just not a majority of it.

Thanks for the reply! .. I found a good deal on some VG only juices, but I wanted some expert feedback before I actually ordered... If I get them, I now know that I will want to thin them down individually, or mix them with some PG flavors.

You ECF members rock!

I use Boge 510 cartos on Ego batts. Boge cartos tend to clog up with high VG juice and they work best with 100% PG. I don't normally like all PG juice since the throat hit can be harsh, but I really like Awesome Vapor Camel in PG and a Boge Carto. It wicks into the filler immediately and gives me a good flavor with just enough throat hit. OTOH, AV RY4 knocks my head off in a carto! If I want the RY4 taste, I add a few drops of the RY4 and fill the rest with Camel.

Boge 510 LR cartos are a great vape with an Ego batt. It's one of the best tobacco flavors I've found.

I use almost 100% VG. I use it in dual coil cartomizers with a tank. I thin it with PGA (Golden Grain or Everclear) and/or less than 15% PG. The eGo battery will work with whatever 510 carto or atty you choose. The resistance (ohms) are what produce the heat (i.e. lower ohms = higher heat). I like to feel the vapor in my chest like smoke, so the VG accomodates this. I buy/mix liquids with high flavor concentration because I like it and I can. I hope you'll get to the mix that suits you. It's part of the learning curve associated with PVs. Good luck and welcome to ECF!

It does make mixing much quicker. I have a few 100ml bottles of VG that I bought and added to my big VG bottle, then I peeled the label off and measured off 10ml increments on the side with a permanent marker by squirting 10ml of water into the bottle and marking the level with each 10ml squirt from a syringe. That way when I premix I can just pour to the line I need. (I also put clear tape over the markings so it doesn't rub off.)

I think my body is totally not cool with vg. I've been smoking some PG that came with my cartos without any vg in the mix and I was just happily vaping away. then i got some liquid with pg/vg 65/35 and that seemed ok for the most part, or atleast the effect wasn't noticeable. But yesterday I got some all vg liquids (Boba's Bounty for example) and I started having some weird side effects. Slightly dizzy, mouth extra dry, and overall feeling fatigued like i need a nap. LOL is that possible with VG? I was under the impression that PG was the one with all the bad rep. the effects are impressively immediate.

oh well, I guess I gotta go with what my body is telling me. I hope I can trade these sample bottles for something else :(

i had the feeling that the joye 510 handles thicker juices better than the ego, but that could be overall performance as well ... havent tried pure VG yet ... and it will probably be even worse in winter when that stuff gets even thicker ... some people make a winter mix, with more pg .... i wonder if the taste will be very different ... well gotta try that now and mix some !
