Greetings, all! I feel like this topic must have been addressed here before, but my search didn't turn up anything helpful, so here goes. My apologies if this has already been discussed ad nauseum.
I'm wondering if the PG/VG ratio of a juice has any effect on how fast that juice burns. Specifically, would a thinner mixture such as 50/50 burn faster than a bit thicker, 25/75 mixture?
The reason I ask is, the very first time I filled up my tank, the juice I used was 25/75. (I think it was, anyway. The juice wasn't purchased by me, and it didn't say on the bottle, I'm just judging by how thick it was.) I puffed on that tank an awful lot, and it lasted me nearly 3 days. Since then, I have tried many other juices, all at 50/50 ratio. I have burned through these 50/50 juices at a much faster rate. A full tank now lasts me maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a day.
Now, I know that this could be attributed to a lot of things, including just increased vaping and deeper puffs, but I don't think that's the reason, because I noticed this huge increase in liquid being vaped as soon as I switched to the 50/50 liquid, which was only 3 days after I first started vaping. The change was immediate, as soon as I started vaping the tank that had been filled with 50/50.
There is one other thing that changed between these two tanks that could be the reason, which is the coil resistance. On that first tank, I was using a 2.2 oHm coil. After that, I began using a 1.8 oHm. I have a hard time believing this is it though, it doesn't seem like such a small change would result in such a huge increase.
Any thoughts? Does 50/50 juice really burn that much faster than 25/75? Or is it due to something else?
