I used 50/50 juice in a Triton V2 the most. I've also had 70/30, 80/20 and max VG in it but never less than 50/50. Never had a problem at all. No leaking or spitting or wicking issues. I used the .5 ohm Claptons, which has amazing flavor. Hope that helps.

I even use 50/50 in the Cleito actually. Only had a leaking problem once after shooting the juice in too fast with a unicorn bottle. It wasn't right after that and decided to just change the coil and am back to having no issues.

More vg will certainly give you more vapor, it may or may not increase the flavor.

From what I've read (not experienced first hand) is that some folks have issues with wicking on the Triton with high VG juice.

How come you were told not to use your mech mod? What kind is it?

I don't know what kind it is but I was told something about the coils can be dangerous without a regulator one

Yes thank you! Always nice to hear first hand reviews

Using ANYTHING on a mechanical mod can be dangerous if:
  • you don't have a firm grasp of battery safety, Ohm's Law, amp draw and understand how they all work together to vape safely. The only safety on a mech is what's between your two ears.
  • you don't have an ohm reader to measure your resistance.
Taking all the above into consideration, as long as you don't have a "faux hybrid top cap" mech mod you COULD use a clearomizer (tank that uses "factory coils") on a mech mod but it's not ideal. Most of the time factory coils are designed to vape at a range of wattage that a mech may not be able to deliver. Tou'll either end up with too little power (to vaporize the juice) or too much power (and get burnt hits).

When using "factory coils" on a mechanical you are limited by your battery voltage which will diminish as the battery drains. No way to "buck or boost" the voltage (via a chip) like you can with a regulated mod.

Mechs work best when you use rebuildables (i.e. RDA's/RTA's) or the RBA base (if your tank has one).
