The forum seems to generally recommend a higher VG ratio, but does this hold true for clearomizers like the aerotank? The reason I ask is because I accidentally ordered a natural tabacco in 30 vg /70pg instead of my usual reverse and it is much easier to vape and has great flavor. Is 70 VG too much for the aerotank or more likely this particular flavor (Down Ease Blue Mountain) just works better with low VG ?

So, did you get 70% VG or 70% PG? 
Either way, you should be fine.
I've been using 80/20, 70/30 and 60/40 PG/VG eliquids without any problems. Aerotanks are very forgiving. I don't use higher VG than that because I can't tolerate it and never had a problem with any Kanger clearomizers--they wick fine.
If your eliquid is not too thick, you shouldn't have any problems. If it is, you can always thin it out with a drop or two of distilled water per ml.
Either way, you should be fine.

I use High VG in my Protank 3 atty but has the new PT4 head in it which is about the same as the aspire. Works fine.
