I have vaped mostly PG based liquids, but decided to try some 30 percent VG 70 percent PG due to the reports of more vapor from VG. It seems to be quite a bit thicker in general and seems to gum up the atomizers quicker. Just wondering about others opinions on this? Maybe I just need to thin out the liquid with distilled water or alcohol?

I use a 80/20 pg/vg mix. Yes, vg is known for being thicker and tending to gum up an atty faster. But it is also true that darker liquids seem to do that too. Thinning it with either water or alcohol? Hmm. I've not tried that, but I would think that it would be a bit self defeating if the purpose is to get more vapor. Yet I do think that I have read of others who have done that. I hope someone else with a better answer will come along soon.

Yes, you can thin it with distilled water, or the pure grain 190 proof stuff, but I just use PG to thin it out :) 70/30 vg<pg (is that right? More VG to PG is what I mean) or 80/20. It should have a thick "look", but distinctly thin, runny feel to it. Think super cheap shampoo.
Yep, it makes it more vapory, smoother tasting, too. I find the pg has a "tinny" taste to it if I smoke it pure. I found that out when I borrowed some juice from a pal cause I left mine at home that night. I couldn't WAIT to boil out that cart.

I just purchased juice for the first time, and it's an 80/20 (PG/VG). It produces plenty of vapor, and I can't imagine wanting a weaker throat hit. I think next time I purchase, I'm going to request a 90/10 mix to see if I can get a better throat hit.

Then again, in addition to the PG/VG mix, the vendor I used also gives you a "throat hit" option (Smooth, Medium, Aggressive). So if I ordered a 100% VG juice, 0mg nic, and checked the "Aggresive" option, I wonder how they would do that?
