I am fairly new to vaping and finally have my hardware (mostly) sorted out; now I am trying to figure out the juice.

Most of the juice I started with was from China and PG based- no problems other than some of the flavors being... other than pleasant.
Since then I have basically been looking at flavors and paying little attention to base being PG, VG or a mix. A couple of the flavors are simply un-vapeable, others are not what I had expected having tried the same named flavor from another vendor. (I do realize that different vendors are likely to have variation in flavor.)

One thing that I began to wonder was if it was the VG itself that bothered me, so I bought a bottle of unflavored of each to try:
plain PG- well, ok but nothing great about vaping it of course
plain VG- horrible. It feels "fluffy" and tastes bad even though it is unflavored.

To verify that this is the case and not just a vendor issue, I now have an order in that includes one flavor in 100% pg and also 50/50 mix, but I probably won't have that until the end of the week.

I have seen quite a bit of info about people who are allergic to or just dislike PG, but little about folks who dislike VG.

Am I that odd or are there others out there who avoid VG juices?

You aren't odd. There are plenty of people who like 100% PG juice, just like there are people who like 100% VG. It's a matter of personal preference. I don't like 100% PG for two reasons:

1) I seem to be a bit sensitive to high percentages of PG, so my mixes don't go below 60% PG.

2) I love seeing big clouds of vapor and I think that the VG gives me a smoother vaping experience. I'm not a big fan of the hard throat hit.

I don't think I'd vape either one without any flavors. Some people do, but I really like tasty vape.

VG in and of itself is thick, many complain of an oily aftertaste.
If you DIY, you'll cut VG with distilled water or pure grain alcohol.
It's generally a spectrum, PG leads to higher throat hit, while VG gives more vapor (some call it lung hit). The stuff I'm making now I tend to use about 30% VG, 60% PG, the other 10% varies (play space).
Some people appear to have VG problems, just like others have PG sensitivity, though it seems to be rarer.

Thanks for the replies.

One more new piece of info:
while looking through "new posts" I happened upon a mention that someone felt PG did better at high voltages and VG tended to get a bit "icky" to them but was fine at 3.7 volts.

I set my GGTS up for 3.7 and tried a 50/50 mix again and I DO see a huge difference.
A juice that I though horrible at 6 volts is vape-able at 3.7.
Not exactly a vape that I want to have all the time, mind you, but since I now have almost no pure pg flavors left until my next order arrives, 3.7 volts should let me get by.
