Basil,

Gotta love the excitement of International Travel! Its one of the things that keeps me truckin in my job. :p

Ahhhh, theres nothin like Jollibee!!! I think I ate there daily the last time I worked a flight into Manila.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.... and you MUST try the belut!!!! And with video! Even if its just for our own entertainment here. Nothin like some fermented chicken embryon still in egg for breakfast in the morning. Heres a tip, hot sauce makes it go down easier, and you would be a wise wise man to just avoid chewing at all costs! I'll try to find the video my crew took of me on my first belut experience. :)

You know what they say... "When in Rome..."

Safe travels,

Not sure if I have the cajones to give it a go this trip...maybe next time. I've also heard I need to try sisig, which is some sort of pork dish usually made with pig's face and ears! Apparently it's amazing!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, been pretty busy with work. I'm going out to see a volcano! Not sure what I'll be doing today when I get off work, but it's nice to know it's FINALLY the weekend!

PS: It's already Friday morning, 2:45am here!

Well, it's 8am Sunday morning here. Went out last night with 2 of my co-workers from back home. We tossed back about 4 pitchers of mojitos! It was a nice time. We didn't go anywhere too far from the hotel, as we were all pretty tired from a week's worth of working overnights, and putting in extra hours.

I lost an atomizer! Not sure exactly how an atomizer came off my GLV while I was out...but it did...and my drip tip went with it!

Guess I should've known that only owning 1 drip tip was a mistake! It's doubly bad since I'm not at home where I can steal one from my roommate. I'll have to tough it with an empty 510 cartridge until I get home around this time next week (Saturday in the US)!

I'm off to breakfast...and then to the Volcano!! I'll be sure to bring back plenty of photos!

Just got back from being out and about! Unfortunately, it rained off and on all day today. On top of that, we weren't allowed to take a boat ride to the volcano, as it is on some sort of eruption watch. We did do some cable car and zip line stuff, got fresh coconuts, and saw some pretty nice things.

I'll get pictures up later...I LITERALLY just got back to my hotel room. Gotta' change and grab dinner.

OK. As promised, more pictures!

Here's the view from my training room. It overlooks the city line a bit, as well as a cemetary on their army base:

My trainees...working together through a problem scenario:

All three of the people I am here to train, posing in front of a mural in the office...kind of looks like Honey, I Shrunk The Kids!

Here's the view in Tagaytay from where we had lunch:

imag0067t.jpg

On the railing overlooking the previous photo was the biggest spider I have ever seen!

imag0068u.jpg

We stopped at a place called Sonya's Garden...which was totally boring, but I did see this:

This is as close as I could get to the volcano...it was raining, and apparently the volcano was active!

Out at the volcano park area there are zip line and cable car rides over this:

On the drive home we stopped for fresh coconuts!

We went to a restaurant in the city for Shabu Shabu. It's basically a big broth that is boiling at your table. You order whatever you want to go in it, and you get it raw. It goes in the pot to cook and comes out like a stew. We had an employee who goes there all the time, so he took care of the ordering and dumping of things in the broth! You can make your own little dipping sauce to dip the things in after you take your cup of stew!

Here's the finished Shabu Shabu. It was REALLY good. We had the plain broth and the spiced broth. For ingredients, we had pork, beef, greens, mushrooms, tofu, squid balls, and these little cheese filled buns!

Going from working overnights to being out all day...I was REALLY tired. I came back to the hotel and crashed. Trying to stay up all night after my nap to get back into the schedule!

Sorry there haven't been more updates. Let's just say that I got into something my body wasn't used to...and I've been paying for it. I can barely make it through the work day, let alone do anything beyond barracade myself in my room after I return to my hotel room. :(

My team has started to take email support items, and this morning is going to start taking phone calls. It's pretty exciting knowing that you're responsible for people internationally supporting customers worldwide.

Hopefully, everything goes well today and I start feeling better. I'm a bit anxious to get home on Saturday. I know there's a package from JoJo, one from Jules, my first Backwoods Brew order, some drip tips from GoodProphets, and hopefully my new multimeter that are all sitting at home waiting for me! I've even got some samples from VaporCountry that I got sent for review!
