My dad called last night and said about 4 days ago she woke up in the middle of the night and had a total snap from reality .... she had mild dementia before, just asked a question a couple times, but at 84, she was walkin' and talkin', and doing pretty well. So I drove down here pronto, and we went to the ER to see if she had a stroke or what. They did a bunch of tests, and don't really know much yet ... still waiting on a MRI and CT official result.
Anyway, I just jumped on my dad's computer while we are waiting .... the doc has hope she will improve, so that is good. :)

Thanks guys. She is making complete sentences, talking normally, just about stuff that never happened. LOL So the doc thinks that's a good sign. Anyway, we will keep our fingers crossed.
Did everyone get candy today? Hubby bought DD and I a cheesecake! Yum!

Well that is good to hear.

Yes, I got these really great lolly pop hearts. They were kind of a bouquet thing and they taste like jolly ranchers only much better. Cheesecake is one of my favorites.

Thanks Moorea, me too, The German post has to have up to 60 days before replying to our US post about my Lost orion. I'm never, repeat, never gonna order from overseas again. Nothing against the modder only the postal services.
US made for me for now on.

Nope no candy for me. Don't need it anyways.

Spent the day at the hospital with my soon to be x. He had to have kidney stones blasted.

Totally agree! Don't know about you but my backand backside is killing me from sitting there all day. Got to hospital at like 7:00 am, came home to get a bite of lunch, then back I went and was there til 5 p.m. Dropped hubby off at his apt then went to work.

Thanks willow ... sorry you were at the Hosp also .... I am soo tired. Just sitting around was worse than actually doing something.

Moorea - chocolate gives me heartburn since I was pregnant, so I do love a good cheesecake now. All I need are some blueberries!! :)

I don't need any candy myself, but the heart lolly pops are really good. I got them from my step father :p

Well if he is your soon to be X, it could have been worse, you could have had to sit through a not so romantic dinner.

We have been getting a bunch of different international shipping requests. As long as people keep asking, we will keep adding the destinations, but the international shipping thing is kind of a pain in the bum. I only mention it to point out the vendor is likely as frustrated or more then you! Hang in there, it will hopefully show up. Did you insure it before you sent it? I've been so worried about our international packages and customs I've been insuring all international packages.

Not to change the subject, but I am closing this thread tomorrow to start the new contest and possibly announce a little post valentine sale (kind of a did you forget to get your loved one a valentine sale) but I haven't worked out all the details so the sale is not 100% but the contest is!

My .... hurts. The chairs in the rooms are not exactly inviting or comfy. My poor dad has to keep getting up and walking around.

It's amazing to me. For at least 15 years now maternity rooms go over board with the comfort and little touches. Makes you wonder why they can't do the same for the other rooms. Are sick people less valuable then a pregnant couple!

Your back may be killing you but just think of the pain he's in after having the kidney stones blasted! Did he also require a stent? I'm really not looking forward to when that happens to me

Moorea, how long will the contest last? I never know when I can get on my dad's internet, so I may have to wait a couple of days till I get back home .....

That's a very good question. When I was writing the rules that is the only thing I left out as I did not know what day we were starting it and the rules just say "we will announce a winner on X day" at the moment. I will have to decide before I start it, but I am thinking 5 - 7 days.

If you can't get on for the beginning you might miss out on the prize for solving the riddle, but there will also be a second prize from a random draw at the end. And the more I think about it, it might be better to just start it on the weekend. I have to give this more thought now.
