Been vaping for over six months, but in the last month or so I've noticed the feeling of phlegm at the back of my throat. Its very sticky and difficult to cough up, but its there and quite annoying. There's a slight bit of irritation with it, and it overall feels like my epiglotis (?, the little punching bag) is bigger and I can 'feel' it in my throat. Been vaping mostly higher VG liquids, about 4~6 mls per day pretty consistantly so i'm curious about this new change. One of the most annoying aspects is its causing very bad breath. Sometimes I can catch a wiff when I yawn, or even while talking and its just gross!

I've had that happen to me too. The gunk in the back of the throat feeling. But I'm usually able to just hack it up. And currently I'm having the the same sensation of feeling the epiglotis in the back of my throat too. Just feels like something's in the back of my throat. Not a big deal really but slightly annoying. Cutting back on the vaping usually makes it all go away for me. I think its a buildup of VG residue to be honest. I vape a 40/60 pg/vg mix, so I'm vaping the higher vg content too. Water and cutting out a few vaping sessions for a little while helps me.

Color of your pleghm? Black is actually good, your celia is regenerating and you are still in detox from smoking. Clear pleghm could be cause by intolerance to your juice, try a different mix.

Yellowish could be bronchitis or an infection and bad breath could be related.

So yes its normal while vaping and you have three main causes
