Hey all,

I am fairly new to the vapor world, but I did get me a 650mah twist and 3ml Phoenix 2.4-2.6ohm to test out...also tried some Stadust 2.1-2.4ohm with the twist and heres what ive found...

Stardusts - having a hard time finding the best voltage on twist for thes LR Stardusts...i either get now flavor at higher voltage or little vapor at lower...actually i am not getting a whole lot of vapor either way...i have some SR Stardusts coming and hope they will be better for the twist...thoughts?

Phoenox 3ml - This thing hits as smooth as i could imagine! tons of vapor and after a wash, no bad taste! (first fill up producded a very nasty taste for me ugggh!)....still experiementing with the voltages for this 2.4-2.6ohm beast but i was hoping to get some insight as to where people are liking the voltage on a twist with the 2.4-2.6 Phoenix 3ml? anyone who is using this combo, please share your "sweet spot" and experience!

You can get more vapor from a Star Dust if you unscrew the top and allow some air in when the vapor slows down. You can leave the top loose and vape but that's a pain because you only have about 2 draws before you have to tighten the tip and wet the wicks. Some Star Dusts work better than others, so YMMV.

I have 3 Stainless 1000mah Twists in the mail but the 21st (Monday) is a holiday here so I will probably get them on Tuesday. Looking forward to it, mostly for the ability to have a consistent voltage rather than high voltage. If it could hold 4 or 4.2 volts for a reasonable length of time I would be satisfied.

Relax, Enjoy!

thanks for the help all! it may be that i am flooding my Stardusts, idk...it seems that after the juive is down a bit from the inital fill, it is still not quite as much vapor or flavor as I would really like...yes i have tried VV with it and not found my sweet spot yet...

i have to say in reagrds to the Phoenix, it is great as far as flavor goes but I am now experiencing leakage from the bottom onto the batt, and i can hear gurlging in the tube...when this happens the vapor is greatly reduced...is this a seal problem or something else? I tried emptying it out and resetting the seal at the top and re-filling upside down...still getting the same problem...

my SR Stardusts will be here today, so I will give these a try and see how they are working :)

I'm vaping a Stardust on a Twist at 4.5v and it's AWESOME! Besides looking good and being a nice small size, the flavor and vapor are phenominal! IMO the only thing that could be improved (and this is just MY personal preference) is I wish the vapor was slightly warmer.

This is the first Stardust I've used, and I've only been using the Twist for an hour or so though - ymmv.

With the Stardust fill it just to a bit below the bottom of the wick slot, and after you wet the wicks for the first time, vape it vertical-ish. Sometimes I forget, and have to blow it out two or three times at first.

thanks Briar! so I shouldnt tilt it hortizontally when i vape then huh? I was using the fluxos with my auto before trying the stardusts and i read that those are best when tilted....

I am getting better vapor and flavor our of my stardusts now as I am finding the best draw amount and voltage for me...i'm liking it best currently @ 3.8v on the LR Stardust...still gotta try the SR Stardusts to compare!

I have been using my 1000mah Twist with a 1.5ml Phoenix all day. After an initial struggle with the syringe (I've NEVER used one before anywhere for anything :)) I got it filled and tried putting a Ming Drip on it. Big mistake, cracked the dang thing myself. What a noob I am! The second fill went much smoother. I am LOVING this combo. I've had one Phoenix on my Vector Variable Volt and one on my Twist. I've been out and about a lot today, so the Twist has had most of my attention..in fact, using it right now lol. CRAP loads of vapor, wonderful....WONDERFUL taste. Loving it right now. Although when I want to change devices, when I unscrew the Phoenix it seems to let loose a bit of juice on the battery connector on the APV. Meh, I clean them everytime I change devices anyway.

I find that at first, as long as you are getting good wicking, it's best to do it vertically, and then, as the level of liquid goes down, increase the tilt. By the time you are about two thirds down, you should be able to vape horizontally without flooding. Funnily enough, for all the short and stumpy wicks, the Stardust tends to overwick rather than underwick, and flooding is likely when it's full. It also varies slightly from unit to unit, and from juice to juice, so you kinda have to play it by ear.

Basically, I think (I could be wrong), the way it works is that as long as the wicks are wet, and the sides of the carto underneath them are wet, the surface tension draws the liquid into the wick. With thicker juices, when the tank is mostly full, you will see this: the liquid will be "heaped" underneath the wicks.

As the level of the liquid goes down, gravity overtakes surface tension, and you have to dip the wicks to keep them wet, so at this point tilting helps, or you can dip and take a few drags vertically if you prefer.

But in my experience, you can't really keep it horizontal all the time when it's mostly full - it will flood almost every time. It won't *leak*, but it will flood so you don't get any vapor of flavor. So then you have to blow it out and start all over again.

I have heard others say topping off causes problems...but I do it all the time. Works for me - but causes vacuum problems for others. If you only have one - proceed with caution. You dont want problems with your only carto.

It's one of four hehehe. Thanks! Yea, I just topped it off, and no problems so far - knock on wood! I made sure to insert some fluid, pull out a little bit and then fill again. I left some room at the top the way GotVapes told me to. Thank you!

the small one i have in rotation i top off all the time and sometimes don't fill it all the way either if there isnt enough in the syringe and i don't feel like getting the bottle back out. haven't bothered with the pull some out or anything at all and no problems no leaks. only thing i do is make sure when i have it upside-down i let the juice drain away from the wick openings - it tends to collect between the tube and base and that bit can get pushed into the wick if you don't. on that rare occasion a little thermometer flick gets it right out
