Hi Yatesy you can squirt water through a few times by removing all the silicon top pieces and using a syringe and a drip tip.

Alternatively, you can take out both silicon pieces and remove the metal centre column, it comes out nice and easy. Once you've done that you can run water/alcohol through it and let it dry.

The best solution I have found for cleaning any atty/carto/etc.. is a mix of 25%PG 25%VG and 50% Isopropyl alcohol. It gets rid of residual juice and any crud nice and easy.

I usually squirt water through and then soak in the above solution for a couple of hours, if not overnight. Then rinse with water and allow to dry.

As long as you haven't burnt or damaged anything prior to cleaning, it brings them up as good as new. :)

I remove the drip tip and the silicone plug. Then I wiggle the tube off the base, and then the center tube. Soak everything in Everclear for 15 minutes or so. Dry everything with a paper towel. Before dry burning and reassembly, make sure the wicks are sitting in the slots in the base. Dry burn just until the coil begins to glow; no longer. I use 3.3 volts for this. About 3 second pulses. Reassemble and fill.

I love this thing. I'm also getting over 200 puffs per fill, and long puffs, on 100%VG liquid @ 3.9v according to my iTaste puff counter. This is pretty good and lasts me most of the day. I use the 2.4-2.6ohm version. I find that as long as I don't unscrew the phoenix it never leaks 1 drop. If I do remove it and it's close to being empty I do get very minor leaking until until the vacuum resets, but very minor. Overall the flavor and vapor has been outstanding, a great product for the price IMHO.
