So I got my phoenix the other day and it's been going through 2 or more 18650s a day whereas with a 1.7 boge carto it will last most of the day.
I figured out how to test the ohms of the coil and was getting 1.2 ohms and some folks suggested that was probably the problem. I made a new coil which put it at 2.0/2.1 ohms. It's lasting longer but still not as long as it seems it should.

The batteries are unprotected icr batteries. Very generic things.
Is it too much current being drawn from the larger coil (as opposed to the carto coil)?
The batteries do get slightly warm. Warm enough that the mod (The Bolt) gets warm as well.

Where you least expect it....
Try getting AW IMR batteries. They deal better with LR and work better in higher end APV's.

Wouldn't suggest you continue to use the icr batteries. Since they may not be safe chemistry. Also, them getting warm along with your bolt is a BAD sign. If you know what I mean.

Basically what I'm telling you is that the batteries you are using is the problem.
