If an experienced Chucklehead could give me links to sites they would go to #1 if say their batteries and battery charger somehow disappeared in an instant, that would be awesome.

I've had my Little Chuck less than a week, so I'm not experienced. :) However, after reading more about batteries recently, I made the decision to stick with only LiMn, LiFePO4, and/or protected AW batteries, and I bought mine from Lighthound. I had already purchased other batteries, but I'm keeping them only as backups now (in case all four of my batteries die at the same time).

For 6V vaping, AW makes LiFePO4 CR123 3V batts, though they're out of stock at Lighthound right now:

AW LiFePO4 3 Volt Lithium Rechargeable Battery

For 3.7V vaping:

The AW 18650 LiMn battery is here:

AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN rechargeable lithium battery

The AW protected 18650 batteries are sold as old version:

AW 18650 Protected 2200 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

... and new version:

AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery - New Version

The new version has a higher mAh, but I don't know if there are any other differences between them.

Cool beans, kind of wish they had the 3v batt's in stock as I'm shooting for 6v vaping. May just have to settle for the big 3.7v for now, but isn't there one out there that is like 3000mah or something like that? I thought I saw that somewhere in the forum. Anyone else have a link to where I could order those 3v batts and charger from today for that tempting 6v experience(reliable company and fast shipping would be nice). Also how would my stock 510 atty's be on the Chuck at 6v?

MadVapes does sell a generic *Fire protected RCR123A, and they're in stock:

Protected 16340/RCR123A 3.0 V Lithium Ion Battery

I do NOT know that those are the right batts for the big Chuck, so hopefully one of those experienced people will happen along.

It's really just all about one's own personal comfort level. Plenty of people use unprotected ones with no incidents whatsoever. After reading about the differences between batteries, and reading advice from people whose opinions I have come to trust, I came to the conclusion posted above. But I'm not throwing out my MadVapes batts, either. They're fine for backups, and they came in handy when my LC arrived before the new batts.

I tend to be very cautious. If there's a safer way, I use it. I don't do anything that starts with the word "Xtreme!" I peek in the backseat before I open my car door. I (usually) don't flip off jackass drivers in Dallas or Chicago. And I choose AW protected or safe chemistry batteries.

Nice job. OP, you could order the 2nd chuck now and tell Jeff you want black button. that way when he gets the black ones you are already there and not way at end of line. Jeff, correct me if I am wrong but this is what I did and asked him to wait for the black buttons. I am fairly patient but don't want to wait until he has the black buttons and then order, I would be like another month out from getting it. I hope not......
