Uhm... That's just wrong. Suppose you actually had to USE the gun? You'd REALLY want a vape then, wouldn't you? I know I would! :D

fair point

Even if it's a Glock. Still needs to be cleaned and lubed like all guns. The misconception of people thinking it can run dirty is not ok. Just my opinion.

But nice rig:thumb:

I doubt it's actually dry inside the slide, just dirty on the outside from holster changes. I usually wipe it down and lube it every couple months, and after every range trip, but I haven't been to the range for a while. This rig (my most expensive holster by a fair bit) is the one I use for daily walks, longer drives and any time I am not going to be somewhere crowded. For normal daily use/errands and anywhere I expect to be more crowded I use a Safariland level 3 retention duty holster like an officer would carry. I have a couple rigs for conceal carry but I hardly ever carry that way.

Glocks do tend to run more rounds between cleanings than most any other pistol, but unless someone is exceptionally lazy, I'm not sure how this is an advantage in the real world. I have some pistols that get cranky and want to get cleaned after 300-400 rounds, while a Glock might go a few thousand or more. So what? I generally don't carry more than one spare mag...

I saw that too and just thought it was a typo for .300 blackout since it's suppressed.

ChemBro - MP5? Yours or rented?

DOH, typo. .300 BLK. Hmm.. they MAKE a 400?!? That's alright, I don't have any brass I can cut down for .400 anyway. SCADS of 5.56 brass that can be repurposed for .300 BLK.

Being that I carry a Glock for duty. Glock for EDC. XDM, 1911 I shoot comp whatever it is. It should always be in stout condition internally. Not saying you can't go a few passes without cleaning.

Should always be ready for what's unexpected. But as long as we take care of our gear. That worry doesn't bother me.

Vape on. Carry always!!! :rickroll:

Anyone else carries a hatchet instead of a knife at times?

This one is really tiny, it actually fits in the back pocket of my jeans without dragging my pants to my ankles:

It's the Gränsfors Bruks mini hatchet if anyone is curious.

It functions more as a big knife than a hatchet because of it's (lack off) size, but it's lovely little tool. I even peeled a couple of pounds of potatoes with it once, just to see if I could do it.

Did someone say tomahawks?

I've never actually owned or handled one, but my latest addition is very similar to one I suspect.

Meet the Gränsfors Bruk Outdoor Axe:

I just got it this week but it is already my new fav light weight wood processing tool.

Here it is compared to the mini hatchet and a regular size Husqvarna hatchet:

And why not, one more with my other lightweight wood processing tool, a Ontario Rat 7:

The mini and Rat 7 perform very similar on similar tasks but the Outdoors axe, while only a couple ounce heavier than the Rat, is in a league of it's own compared to the other two. I initially expected it to be closer in performance and feel to the mini hatchet, but I'm not disappointing at all.

Oops, sorry about that.

I left it over there ---> by the fire:

This is really growing on me.
But I like the handle on the Husqvarna better.

For looks maybe, but that Husqvarna is really difficult to handle.

It was the first hatchet I ever bought, and I really wanted the Gränsfors Bruk Wildlife hatchet but I cheaped out and got the Husqvarna instead. It's been years now but I still regret it, lol

The head is way too heavy at 1.5LBS for such a short handle. I plan to rehandle it with at least a 20 inch handle but I can't bring myself to destroy the current handle because it still looks so nice. I might as well though, because I never use it as it is.

Spent the last half an hour trawling the Gränsfors website looking at age porn. I blame you.
The Outdoor Axe is really growing on me.

Just go get one already.

It's an amazing tool, the more I use it the more I love it. I'm already fairly certain this will be the last small axe/hatchet I'll ever need to buy.

It weighs just a little more than the RAT 7 but it does so much more, it outperforms the Husqvarna that's twice it weight easily. And I'm not a big strong man but because it is so light I can still swing it all day long.

More importantly, the brown leather sheath will match the leather on your Therion soooo freakin' nice

I really want to know what that means, lol

The only Husqvarna I've owned...

Those are of a much better quality than their axes, haha.

Which KTM(s) do you ride?

My dream bike is a SMT made to look like a (white) SM-R, but my legs are too darned short for 'm. I tried a SM with lowered rear suspension but I was still too far of the ground. That's how I eventually ended up with the TDM900. Still a great bike, but no KTM :(

I currently only have a '08 KTM 450 exc with dirt and supermoto wheels. I sold a '04 950 adventure and '04 450 exc a couple of years ago because I haven't been riding much. You don't need to touch the ground when you're moving :p.
