Hi Guys

Ok i've attached 2 pictures. The one is my e-ciggie in full and then the other one is my atty. I'm getting confused because i think mine looks different from the rest of the guys in other countries. So anyway I think my atty is dirty, take 3 drags then it feels like something is stuck. The one on the left is my batt. the one next is my atty, then the little one is where i put the drops in and then the mouth piece. Help.....:?:

I've not dealt with an open atomizer like this one before but it seems like it would be easier to clean than the enclosed type I'm used to. I'm not sure what you've tried but here's what I would do. Try blowing into the end that screws to the battery over a tissue. I can't tell if your battery has a button or is automatic but a few dry burns couldn't hurt. if you have a button push it to activate the atty several times. If it's an automatic you have to blow into the LED end to activate it. The dry burn should help to cook off some of the gunk that's on the heating coil. If you decide that you need to rinse it out with anything you'll have to allow it to dry for several hours.
Having a lot of spare attys on hand is my best advice for when you have atty problems. Those little things don't last forever but then, niether does a pack of cigarettes.

Is it really hard to get things shipped to South Africa? I only buy online, of course I live in the US. If you can get things shipped from China, check out dse-ecigarette, eastmall or healthCabin, if you can get stuff from the UK, try TotallyWicked-eliquid or TECC. If you can get stuff shipped from the States, There are a number of great companies. Check out the suppliers on the forum. They may not lit in on the site, but if you contact them, they may be able to ship you an order. I would suggest that you get a KR808D-1 or a Joye 510.

Also, I am not sure what model you e-cig is, but it is not a DSE401. They should theoretically have spare atomizers wherever you bought yours originally.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like it might be a 401 knock-off. Sometimes they don't have a wick to draw fluid from the bridge to the coil, or it is misplaced. Are you filling the inner cart? or just putting drops on it?
Try dripping/dipping without the inner cart and see how many draws you get.

Here is the link to the 401 specific section. Lots of info there.

Yes, 401 knockoff, similiar also to the Xhaleo2, sold at 7-11 here in the states.

Inquis is right, pursue other options to buy online from Uk, states or China. Most recommend the 510 or KR808, but since you've already experinced vaping, you should look at an upgrade more like the eGo.

Should be able to find other South Africans here on the forum. Just search or put a shout-out.

well we don't have that kind here.....i've asked around....

Hi helenvds, Welcome to the Forum. Might be a bit late, but I heard from ricky59 that there is a South-African in need of help. I also started of with the same e-cig as you, and had to run around a lot to figure out what it was. The model that you have is mostly sold here in SA under the brand Kwick Quit. It is a M401\2. Most the guys on the forum talk about a M40*. Most the models that we have here in SA are rebranded and it is difficult to determine what models they are at first, since most the sales people do not even know themselves.

The following was my first one:

The 510 that the guys are talking about is available here in SA under the name Twisp.

I buy very little stuff locally at the moment, since I have moved on to Mods. I was a heavy smoker and the M40* series only got me to cut down, but not stop. Since I moved to Mods, I found it much more satisfying, and I was able to stop completely without an issue.

Where are you in SA? With Importing, the waiting can be a bit frustrating, but the variety available is so much better, and the prices you get is fantastic, compared to what is available locally. I currently buy a lot from a company called East Mall. They are based in China, but their representation on this forum is fantastic, and the prices and gadgets that they have are really good.

Regarding your current problem with the M40* series. Do you have the stuck problem on both your batteries, or just one. These things have the auto batteries, and sometimes there is something in the switch mechanism of the battery. Else if you are sure it is the atty, there are various ways of cleaning a atty.

My favourite, Hold the atty under running hot water, with a tweezers or something, so that you do not burn your hands. Blow the atty our, and make sure that it is completely dry, and then re-use.

You can also soak it in Coke or Vodka for 12 to 24 hours, rinse in water, dry and the reuse.

Hope this helps some.:D:D:D
