Hey guys,

as you can see, I am already getting a small patina on my v3 Lux....(kind of a crappy pic...my apologies!) I really like the look of the Patina and will probably let it develop some more, but if I ever decide to polish it I want to be sure I use the right stuff...

I have Cape Cod polishing cloths right now that I use for my copper mods....is this what GP recommends? Maybe one day I will polish it back to it's original shine, but as of right now I am enjoying the Patina.....I just want to make sure I polish it correctly when I do...

Cape Cod should work fine. I believe Idaho and a few others posted some other good alternatives over in the main thread.

Any non-abrasive metal polish will work just fine. Cape Cod is good√ so is Weisman's, Mother's, Silvo, Autosol etc. A safe choice is any "Silver Polish".

I'd avoid Brasso for the simple fact that it's tad abrasive. No one in his/her right senses will bring Brasso close to his/her jewellery would s/he? Our LUX is a fine piece of jewellery for me!

Just remember never / ever to 'polish the contacts' of the LUX, or any such device whose internals are plated with precious metals. Else you'd ruin that coating.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I found some Mother's metal polish that I forgot I had in my basement, so I polished my v3 Lux using the Mothers, and it worked EXCELLENT. My v3 has now been restored to its factory shine!! I will save my Cape Cod cloths for a rainy day... :)

Mothers is a good choice as it removes oxidation as well. Talking about polish much lately, the top of the line used by many in the high end arena is Autosol. It is exp but I found recently they are finally selling it in Tubes now. Yet, I still have a 50 gallon drum to finish
