Let me get some clarification before I wet myself...
I'm talking X ring, what get's rid of the Paps X AFC.
^ Is there such a thing that tapers to 22?
I guess the X converter (https://domovaporco.com/product/gp-paps-x-converter/) would work with a M20 x 1 hybrid adapter (Hybrid Connector M20 x 1 by MH Mods)... Actually that sounds more conductive too.. but, battery rattle.. Anyone tried it?
Editing: In retrospect, eliminating the Gpin sounds like a very BAD idea. I love that little invention.

You can use the x converter then put a V3 top cap on top.

I really just want a tapered X ring though. Someone else might come along and offer one. Hell, I'm sure I could get a small run turned if I hand funding (with permission of course). But, I think vapourart should just make them...
Yes, I agree. A tapered x ring would be nice. But I don't mind the look of a 22mm dripper on the 23mm top cap. Depends on the atty too.

Drippers look rad with the 1mm step! I love the way a Origen or SS Quasar looks rocked up on top of an X. Sexy. Just something about that tiny step really cracks off the whole look for me.
I'v got a couple new 22mm genesis coming and I might be wrong but I think the lines would look sooo clean with a tapered X ring.

The slope of a tapered X ring would be a bit distracting due to its shortness, but a flat X top cap ending to 22 mm has a cleaner look in my opinion. If we have enough requests for it, we may create 50 units.
So basically it would be like a converter ring/top cap, but all one piece correct?
Since we're throwing out wishes here, how about a 23mm to 16mm tapered AFC ring for a flush mount of the Spheroid?
Not sure if you'd have enough interest to make something like that, though, or if making something like that would be too difficult.
The thought of it just crossed my mind when some folks in another thread were discussing the different sized tapered AFC rings on the Nemesis.
Oh, and if Firestorm sees this, after thinking about it, put me down for interest in a v3 flat top cap.
I find the 16-22/23 contrast between a Spheroid upon an X or a Paps in 18350 mode really attracting. Disrupting their clean lines with a so intense tapered cap isn't the way for us. As it is now, you can rest your index or thumb finger there

If a dedicated thread is opened I would enjoy throwing my opinion in. I am very much interested in a 22mm ring or flat cap.

And Yes, customization is big these days but that's not to say there's something lacking with the X. It is my favorite 18xxx series mod to date.
