I have a couple of them, but I don't use them except when I'm home. I just can't see taking liquid with me when I'm out and about. Need something that will hold a few mils, like an rba's.

You might want to consider an Innokin MVP to add to your apocalypse arsenal - you could use your solar charging approach for the MVP and provide portability with the charged MVP - just a thought. (not sure if the solar panels you have would be able to charge the MVP, but it seems like it could give you portability vs being tethered to the unit.)
