So I had to get some railing added to the steps on my back deck because my insurance company decided to drop my home owners insurance if I didn't have a rail on all exterior steps. Despite the fact that I've gone almost 20 yrs without anyone failing down them well at least anyone sober. But anyway I had some left-over wood so I decided to drill some holes in a piece to make a cheapo mod stand. I like the results other then well its just cheapo decking wood. I seen a nice butcher's block in sears the other day I'm thinking of getting one of those and drilling some holes in it. Only problem is there thinner so the holes wont be as deep but it is nicer wood. Or I could find an old log or something that would look even cooler. What do you think?

My vote goes for the old log modded to a stand. Did you lay anything in the bottom of the holes to protect the bottoms of your devices?

Though I am into a more modern look, a vape stand/device holder is needed for a vaper at any level ;)

No padding needed at least for me. I've been using a car crate from VapeCrate for a while now I figure the wood is much softer then the mods so the likelihood of damage beyond a few scratches is very minimal. I personally think a few dings and scratches adds a bit of character to mechanical mods plus I can always sand them down and refinish them.

And True a vape stand is needed for any type of vaper even the EGO/stick battery vapors. Much better then just throwing everything in a basket, bin, or drawer.

I picked up a few more mods since my first post. From left to right, iTaste SVD with VaporSkinz black mamba wrap & a Vision Victory Pyrex bcc tank, Joye eVic with a Pro Tank 2, King Mod clone with a SmokTech carto tank, Chi-Yuh clone with some random carto tank and my current favorite, Nemesis with a trident. I think I'm done for a while, this time last week all I had was the SVD. Happy Birthday to me, lol.

local guy in Katy, Texas. I bought the King clone from him for $75 and he gave me some free goodies. This thing is built like a tank man, I could run it over with my car and it would be fine. Blackwidowsvapor is the guys vape shop, Ray is a really good dude who has great prices and the best thing to me is that he's local, makes great juices and is always ready to give advice. Finding him and having him set me up with my first apv is what enabled me to quit, after getting my first vamo from him and some really good juices, I never touched an analog again. He ships too, but usually has more than you see on his website.

I've got two of those SK98's made by Ultrafire. I also have 2 of the SK68's. They are nice little torches for cheap. I paid like $7 for the 98's each and $5-6 for the 68's.

All you gotta do is get a 4X4 and drill some holes. I made this one a while ago. I also made this atty stand out of a 2X4. Then stained them and added some tung oil finish for that gloss look. I really need to make a new mod stand as I have more mods now and need a bigger one lol. I might have to make a new atty stand as I am adding some new one's to the collection soon.

I have been using the Pure, the Chi You clone, and the RH Hybrid Elite the most. I also use the EA clone quite a bit. Everything else just sits around for the most part.

The nemesis clone was my first mechanical and though the chi-yuh and especially the King are nice as hell, I'm stuck on the nemesis with the trident. The only thing, it's hard to go back to my SVD or eVic after it, the throat hit and flavor from the mechanical is so damn nice.

I know what you mean. My first mech was that white KTS and I got 2 AGA-T+/2's. The KTS sucked, but then I got the Sigelei #8 and that officially got me started into the mechanicals. I bought the eVic because it had just been released and I thought the interface was cool. I bought the SVD because I got it cheap. But I rarely use them anymore. Mechanical's and RBA's are my favorite now. I don't really care for the drippers. I guess I don't know how to build them or the fact that I have to drip all the time.

I also have a Nemesis clone on the way from FT as well as 2 Hcigar Steam Turbine clones from a group buy. I also have a Russian 91% on the way eventually also from a group buy. I can't wait for the 91%. I've only heard great things about the Kayfun and Kayfun Lite and it is a clone of the Lite with adjustable airflow.
