Contact is made between the button hitting the button housing and the firing pin hitting the battery the magnets are basically just replacing the spring. Hold on lets get some photos:

I love my Apollo eGos. That particular one is signed by Chris Fronzak of Attila (the guy is my idol). I don't use the T3 on it anymore, as I stepped up to a Kanger Protank 2, but that's my favorite mod 
My new Magneto with a IGO-L dual coil rebuildable, wraped at .8 ohm, custom drilled the cap to 1/16th holes. great little mechanical for the price!

Here's today's set-up......
on the left, a sigelei 20 tube with a sigelei 8 top cap, 19 bottom button, Aga TD atty with a Fauxgotti brass cap and UFO drip tip, on the right is a sigelei 19 Nzonic clone with an Aga T2 atty, Fauxgotti SS cap and Bmods custom made drip tip.
