Per your pictures, I can see you have some nice mods. However, you would be cheating yourself if you haven't grabbed a GP.
As far as the X is concerned, it is a very well manufactured device. Per my signature, you can tell I love GP. Though I like my other devices as well, the GP line takes the cake in all categories IMO. The fit/feel is second to none. The threading is phenomenal! So smooth! Even after cleaning, not a glitch nor squeal in the threads. To say how is the X, is the same as saying how are the GP products period. Though, the Paps/Lux are not versatile like the X in that it can transition from 350-650, they are ALL superb devices. The finish is amazing, and the logos are smooth; appearing to by stamped right in the tube. The function is quality my friend. To recommend a GP device is to recommend quality at its highest.
Now besides all that! Customer service at Team GP is second to none. I've never had so much as an issue in dealing with Perseas and the rest of the team. After making my first purchase of an SnP tank, I broke the glass. My fault right? I mentioned my issue, and within minutes I had received an email stating they were sending me another. Perseas response was that he was trying to save the joy of getting a new toy
I could go on-and-on, seriously. The reality: purchase anything GP and you will not regret it. Even if the slightest disappointment arose, you could turn it in the classes in an instant.
If you like bottom-button, go GP. If you like quality design/finish/function, go GP. If you want to hang with the kool kids, go GP. LOl, just go GP

okay...i am tired of the patina on my gg and want to be able to polish it...can someone recommend a product that WILL NOT leave any scratch marks or eat at the metal (No Brasso....)?

Yeah I ordered it from them direct. It's all aluminum and more importantly one piece. They have colored tubes for all sizes as well.
damn...just when i thought i didn't need anything- they have all kinds of brass switches, locking rings, colored tubes, extended contacts, magnets....LMAO
