It's a bowl turning blank. woodturningblanks4u.com. $6.99 for an 8x2 blank plus I think the same for shipping. I bought two blanks, different woods, so I could decide when they came which I preferred. Tough choice, I love them both. I might have to buy more provari's so I have an excuse to use the 2nd blank. :p

Thanks for the info! Ordering one as we speak!!

LOL! I wish I had stock in Provaris. Thanks for the URL. I've GOT to check that out.

Glad I could help! Just an FYI. They are green blanks, which should be fine to use, but they coat them in wax to slow the drying process. I suggest taking a razor blade and scraping the wax before you sand, otherwise you will clog up your sand paper with wax and you'll go through a lot of it before you get to the bare wood. Scrape gently on an angle and towards you in a dragging motion so you don't put too big a divit in the wood that you will have trouble sanding out.

Good to know, thanks.

I agree. I am curious about the carto tanks but the ce2s work so well that I have no real need for anything else. I can rinse in hot water, dry burn til it glows evenly, and use the same one for a month or more. Map tank and ce2s are the way to go for me.

same here. very happy with ce2. but there's always room for improvement. pyrex tube instead of plastic? steel wick like genesis line?

love to see these tank mods. the innovations are coming fast and furious now.

One more question. What size hole did you drill for the Provaris?

Now that's just pure Awesomeness MustangSallie

I may have to get one of those or two, I would like to take my plunge router and do the same for my box mods then drill the other holes for my Tube Mods, that would look pretty cool I think

That's a good idea. I could have my husband use the plunge router for my cutlass and future destroyer. I think there would be enough room in the center. If not, it's a good start for the second blank I purchased.
