I figured it was time to do another update with a full collection picture, and a few close ups of my newest creations.

Over the last 3 days all my mods, except one 306 bottom feed box mod has broken. Chuck...bad switch, 2x eGo passthrough...broken, roughstack...wont fire, though I am still troubleshooting that one. My solution? I went to ace hardware and radio shack. I had a couple of connectors laying around and the result is this new copper mod. On top of it is my GLV Genesis atty. I am back in business. AND the switch that I used on it was the same as in the chuck and came 2 in a pack. Now my chuck is now fixed. Tonight has been productive.:2cool::vapor:

Well finally got around to installing my J-tank on my Boge carto alongside my eGo-T 18650 mod and a shorty cone I got from LF. I wanted to wait until I had a juice that I knew was worth vaping 3ml of (much longer process than I had originally hoped).

The stuff is 100% VG and very thick, so I was (and still am) concerned about it not sucking into the carto properly. I hammered two decently sized holes with a screw, and as far as I can tell it appears to be sucking in the liquid (hard to notice the small level drop since I have only been vaping on it for a little while now). No gurgling or anything strange yet. I will know for sure later today if the level has truly dropped or not or if I am just burning up the filler material in my carto.

Was a lot easier to hammer the holes than I thought it would be, from what I read from other peoples experience, was they seemed to 'dent' the carto rather than making a hole when doing the nail method. I really didn't want to make a mess by using a dremel (or having to buy a dremel) for the slotted method, so I really was hoping this would work for me. I had no problems whatsoever getting a clean hole the first time around, and I really didn't even have to hit it that hard either.

I just used a c-clamp to hold it stationary while I held the screw in place, then proceeded with a few hits with a hammer. Worked like a charm!

So, nothing really special for most of you, but it is for me!

If this does in fact work, my next step will to see if this thing leaks or not. So far so good right now, but time will tell if it leaks in my carrying case or not (an old Snus tin) as I go about my daily life.

Luckily for me the nail method leaves the carto nice and smooth. Most slot methods will likely have the problem with burs, which as you pointed out, can tear up o-rings.

As for warping, off hand it didn't seem to impact mine negatively as the area which is held by the o-rings is still perfectly round. Might not look as nice through the transparent poly, but it seems to be working fine so I am ok with it. :2cool:

Look at your carto's some time with a good magnifying glass, and you'll see I meant the top and bottoms of them too, when inserting into the tanks. Their quality control leaves much to be desired on most manufacturers. Don't suppose they can be blamed really though, with their 20 hours work shifts, and forced to stand, until their knees lock. I use some fine emery to just ensure the edges of top and bottom, are slightly rounded.

Love that green readout! Awesome!

Yes, it's part of my black and neon green philosophy, it also switches off all, and firing LED only with LED voltage indicator off, and firing a little green LED light that will blind helicopter pilots, and bring them down to you. Lights my room up when sitting in the dark. I don't need a torch now, when looking for the door key at night. :)
