I did this with a metal tip on my provari/mini hellfire combo. It's decent, but extreme-LR coils are overrated and drain batteries too quickly. Not worth it. I'd rather have a sturdier coil and bump up the voltage to achieve similar wattage - while pushing out less amps. Safer vape, longer battery life, less popped-coils. Better setup for me all around. I think we're doing people in the new members forum a disservice by recommending extreme set ups

I am just sharing MY set up. I prefer to use a PTFE drip tip that looked funny to other people.
I also don't mind carrying spare 18350 batteries with me rather than using a longer battery mod. That is MY preference. I am definitely not recommending anybody to use my set up nor did i say mine is better other than sharing what works best for ME and why I prefer a driptip that doesn't feel warm when I am chain vaping

Agreed. Nothing wrong with PTFE drip tips, and I personally prefer 16340 or 18350 mods. Innovapor makes nice drip tips - even the aluminum ones are nice.

Here's mine. Tried to make an enclosure out of brass sheet, it failed. Two 18650 and lm2956 based reg.
