just wondering, what would be the point of this... other than amp limitation or protection?

reminds me, i replaced my GG spring with an adjustable screw so that I could use it in 350 mode and adjust the switch position...

Right off the batt I replaced the switches and put the same batts and attys back on. It was hitting at least 25% harder. This eliminates the need to clean the axis post. Mine are tarnished where the button makes contact to the point where I am polishing them twice a week cuz Im getting a hot button.
They now fire with the lightest of touch, and every time without fail. There is almost no throw at all.
All in all they have perfected an almost perfect design, IMHO.

yeah, i feel ya with the inconsistent firing and constant cleaning, i had to replace my switch spring with magnets to get it to fire consistently. still have to clean the brass contacts all the time. but yeah thats the nature of the beast, i wish there was something else. gold plating is nice, doesnt need to be cleaned as often but eventually you wear down the plating through use and by polishing it, then your back to brass... solid gold is nice, lol if youve got the $. imo no matter what contacts are made of, for some reason they always get filthy and need a good polishing after a week or so. esp. if youve got different types of metals touching each other.

i was just wondering about your switch as I was curious... I always hated the design of the GG switch, IMO it needs a square shaped axis post or a crescent shaped switch contact to get it to totally fire consistently.
